Two-wheelers cannot safely ride on the roads.

This is the travels pickup point at Bhujbal Chowk, Wakad, where mud carried onto the road by vehicle tyres is creating serious inconvenience for commuters.
The muddy stretch reportedly increases the risk of two-wheeler accidents and makes it difficult for passengers to board buses safely. As the mud dries, it turns into dust, adding to the area's air pollution.

Increasing the road network and increasing the number of traffic police deployed are absolutely essential steps. In addition effective use of the available carriage with is necessary. Today three landed road effectively carry two lanes of traffic and two lanes roads carry just a single lane. Unmarked roads, traffic discipline, official and unofficial parking, misuse of margins and footpaths, encroachment on footpaths and road sides, hawkers are the main reasons for this.

Absolute misplaced priorities.

People jump signals every day. Vehicles drive on the wrong side with impunity. Traffic signals don’t work for days. The automatic challan system has practically disappeared. The HSRP deadline ended in July, yet non compliant vehicles are everywhere in Pune.

Instead of enforcing these basic traffic laws, RTO is busy checking Marathi proficiency.

This is absolutely ridiculous. @PratapSarnaik @Dev_Fadnavis, what are you doing to enforce strict traffic rules in Pune?

Sir, you're focusing on the most environmentally destructive projects ( do read the ACWADAM report on Pune's groundwater) which will bring little to no traffic decongestion, but which will make Pune even more unlivable.

Instead, please focus on
1. improving PMPML (10k more buses, increased routes and frequency, small EV buses in each ward), last mile metro connectivity
2. safe, encroachment free pedestrian spaces
3. the massive garbage problem in Pune

Seriously @navalMH - we need you to complete all ongoing projects especially the Metro lines, the equitable water supply project, fixing of potholes on existing roads, STPs etc before wasting public money on expensive DPRs for projects like the HCMTR and tunnel which you know as well as we do are unfeasible. 🙏

Yes, absolutely. Crackdown on the rickshaw drivers. And then on shopkeepers, swiggy Zomato blinkit delivery workers, students, migrant workers, IT employees. Anyone who has the audacity to live in Pune without speaking flawless, Pune certified Marathi!

Forget the potholes, the traffic mess, the garbage on the road, visual garbage (flex hoardings), broken footpaths……rickshaw drivers not knowing Marathi is the emergency we have chosen to fix.

These are not glamorous issues, but they are the issues that define a city every single day.

Sewage is not invisible.

PMC’s ESR report says #Pune generates around 980 MLD of sewage, but only 49% is currently treated.

That means roughly half of what we flush away is still not being properly treated.

For a city aspiring to be a global economic hub, this is not a sanitation issue. It is a basic infrastructure failure.

We need to fix the pipes, plants and accountability to correct this disaster. @ppcr_pune

Chakan MIDC is industrial area so it will always have these containers coming and going and because of the distance that they cover and their sizes and dimensions, they will have to take halts.

Banning them is an easy excuse for the minister. Creating truck lay bye, making provisions for over night parking of huge containers is the right thing to do . No one wil ask him that question through. This is not how highways are built. We are in 2026, we can unlock our phones and see how the world is doing it.
