Over 300 students , majority studying @CPUT residing in private accommodations on 37 Strand street and 210 Long street are being evicted by the landlord Mr Oliver . @CPUT supposedly owes the landlord 5 million rand for these students accommodation .

ALL STUDENTS ARE BEING EVICTED , WHETHER PRIVATE PAYING OR NSFAS PAYING . WE ARE FORCED TO DEREGISTER FROM SCHOOL BECAUSE OF THIS MESS BY @CPUT ,@cputstudents @myNSFAS @News24 @SABCNews @DrBladeNzimande

9 Students were arrested for having a peaceful protest today! They did nothing wrong but @CPUT securities called the police on them @SAPoliceService from Bellville South arrested them, real criminals are out there making millions! @myNSFAS @SABCNews @EFFSouthAfrica #Cputmustfall
