@Badger419256@AdamKinzinger Why would the dems stage an insurrection to stop certification of an election they won?
Secondly, if they did, shouldn't you be angry that Trump is going to potentially pay them...?
@matthew_kurosky@taylordbaird@DavidCastilloAC My man, if you think Buium is a good replacement for Harley, why would Vancouver also give the 3rd overall pick with him? Dickinson and Buium were back-to-back in 2024. You're not getting either of them PLUS a top-3 pick for Harley.
@matthew_kurosky@taylordbaird@DavidCastilloAC I never said Harley was bad. He is a #1 D. But Vancouver still won't do that trade. SJ should consider that trade because they get a #1 D and then can decide what to do with #2, and they could just draft Verhoeff. Either way, Vancouver won't trade both those assets for Harley.
@carrothjslv3@taylordbaird@DavidCastilloAC It's not the number 2 pick. It's a second rounder. It's essentially trading Dickinson for the player you hope he becomes and he already has his long-term contract in place. It's a genuinely fair deal for both sides.
@carrothjslv3@taylordbaird@DavidCastilloAC It's to keep the player you can't afford to lose - Robertson. Then use the cap space to fill gaps while you develop Dickinson, who would be Harley's replacement. Not to mention, they can't even use Harley to his full potential because of Miro.
@DJ789110@ITRConnor@NHLRumourReport The players mentioned above could possibly *extend* the window. Not to mention the cap relief that would allow them to shop this summer to fill the gaps now. There's always two sides to it. And while I don't want to lose him, I would for this considering the barren cupboard.
@DJ789110@ITRConnor@NHLRumourReport Hard disagree on SJ. Misa, Eklund, Smith. You'd eat a development window with them that cuts into our cup window, but you're getting cost-controlled forwards and cap relief to go shopping, too. The only other team that makes sense to me is Buffalo (off the top of my head).
@ThunderbirdRay@DLLS_Stars Simply mentioning McCarron as if it's some kind of centerpiece to changing the makeup of a team, especially as a writer, is idiotic. There's so many other names or ideas and he's (IMO) rightfully being dragged for proposing one this poor. He can and should have said it better.
@ThunderbirdRay@DLLS_Stars I think you know I'm not against trading Robertson. But, he shouldn't be traded for the type of player you can get practically anywhere. It should be an assortment of assets. McCarron is a throw-in type of player and it's be a horrible mismanagement of Robertson as an asset.
@FCancun@NHLRumourReport This isn't a great understanding of the dynamics of how this works, nor do you have any idea how much they value him. Any team would pay for a player who's worth it. Especially if they had the opportunity to extend him before he got to market, just like Dallas did with Rantanen.
@FCancun@NHLRumourReport It's a high ask, I agree. But, you're also getting a 3-time 40 goal scorer in return. That said, I still think Dallas would have to add something to get both. Either a D prospect, Hemming, something.
@FCancun@NHLRumourReport I've been on this train for a bit now. But, I'd want Eklund and Misa. In that scenario, the Stars probably throw in something else, too.
@mdixonair The best defense is a good offense. Never need to defend if you always have the puck. Hope Gulutzan takes that into consideration since the system has to be tweaked next year.
@taintedms@JamesTate121 I really have to ask even though I tend to avoid these conversations. Their graphic says the price when Biden left office to Trump now. Your chart literally validates their graphic. How exactly are they lying?
@DavidCastilloAC We looked fine for the first two periods of the season. Then it fell apart, and it was rather obvious it wasn't working (wins aside) with the exception of the 15-game point streak. It felt they won in spite of themselves. Truly concerned with Gulutzan overall.
