And we have hundreds of species recording doing it, bird, reptiles, sharks, insects, etc. Most cases, it is chromosomal determined by sex chromosomes. ZW species, like some birds & reptiles, only males are possible, in XY only females.

If you mean partheogenic species, most results are female. Species where male is possible from parteogenesis, it's 'cause of non-chromosomal reasons, such as species where Haploid=Male, Diploid=Female, or temp of eggs affects sex.
