@bykatewomersley You will see more and more Gps going to private in the years to come, cos they no longer accept the poor pay structure in the nhs. It has taken years for dentistry to get to this. This is what the gov wants unfortunately.
@hayleymagill All these #frcs or #mrcs are a bit waste of time. They never really judge whether someone is a competent doctor or surgeon. However you need to pass it to get to the next stage. Part of the existing system. unfortunately no other better way of assessing ppl.
@emilycpb Sorry that you are leaving. Nhs does not value drs, no matter what grade. Pay is a reflection of valuation in the society. Drs are being paid peanuts. I’d agree with some, but not all pts. Anyhow, good luck for your next journey
@drcartersingh Fact: both Specialties are low in drs. Everyone is trying to survive. Not sure Y tweet this from someone in Gp council. Not helpful. This is exactly what every gov wants Dr to do, and blame each other to avoid the blame of chronic funding shortage! Poor judgement in my view!
@kmahawar Frankly, the current system is unsustainable. Those suggested will probably only just able to minimize brain drain from the nhs. As of now, I still won’t offer myself for extra hours with that payment. By the time the tax all comes in, it is barely worth it.
@DougEthanJac So sorry to hear this. Our training system is becoming resemblance of #nhsmanagement. Problem is that it won’t get better when you go up the ladders. Exit plan might need to be in place.
@gall_tamara That’s data is bias, and not complete. What about open or laparoscopic surgery? Robotic or not robotic, it is merely a tool to do an operation till the time when there is self-op robot.
