- एक बुद्धिहीन ने कहा कि हमने चांदी का कौवा बनवा कर दिया था, वह चोरी हो गया है। इसपर मंदिर प्रशासन अपना उत्तर देता इसके पूर्व ही मंदिर द्रोहियों ने सोशल मिडिया पाट दिया कि कागभूसुंडी जी चोरी हो गए।

हालांकि दो दिन के भीतर मंदिर प्रशासन ने दिखाया, कौवा सही सलामत था।

- कुछ टुच्चों ने हल्ला किया कि हमने चांदी की इंटे दी थी, वह नहीं दिख रही हैं। लोगों ने इसपर भी मंदिर प्रशासन का उत्तर जानना नहीं चाहा, बस हल्ला उठ गया कि इंटे चोरी हो गयीं। बाद में मंदिर ने स्पष्ट किया कि इंटे सुरक्षित हैं।

- फिर एक फटीचर ने कहा कि हमने सोने की एक रामचरितमानस दी थी, वह नहीं दिख रही। किसी ने नहीं पूछा कि आपने धातु की मानस क्यों दी थी? वहाँ धातु की पुस्तक कौन पढ़ेगा? बस सभी चिल्लाने लगे कि मानस चोरी हो गया। फिर मंदिर प्रशासन से दिखाया कि पुस्तक सुरक्षित है, मंदिर में ही रखी हुई है।

अब आप एक प्रश्न पर विचार कीजिये।

चांदी का कौवा ( मैं चाह कर भी उस आकृति को कागभूसुंडीजी नहीं कह पा रहा) या धातु की पुस्तक क्यों दी गयी थी?
क्या मंदिर प्रशासन ने माँगा था?
वहाँ ऐसी वस्तुओं की क्या उपयोगिता है?

इस प्रश्न का उत्तर अजीब होगा। देने वाले की इच्छा दरअसल यह थी कि यह वस्तुएँ मंदिर के गर्भगृह में रखी जांय। एक बड़े मंदिर में अपनी सांकेतिक उपस्थिति सुनिश्चित कर लेने का मोह ऐसी चीजों का दान करा रहा था।

पर क्या सचमुच ऐसा किया जाना चाहिए था?

आप सोचेंगे तो इसी निष्कर्ष पर पहुंचेंगे कि ऐसा नहीं किया जाना चाहिए।

मंदिर निर्माण समाज के धन से हुआ है, उसमें अरबपतियों के कुछ करोड़ रूपये लगे हैं तो किसी गरीब रिक्सेवाले का सौ रुपया भी लगा है।

उसमें अनेक ऐसे लोगों का भी धन लगा है जो भीख मांग के जीवन यापन करते हैं। दाताओं का धन कम अधिक हो सकता है, पर श्रद्धा सबकी बराबर है।

फिर कुछ लोगों का चिन्ह ही मंदिर में स्थापित क्यों हो? और कोई अपना नाम स्थापित करना चाह ही क्यों रहा है?

स्वयं को इस लोभ से मुक्त नहीं कर पाए तो दान का क्या ही मोल है?

और हम लोग, जो इस तरह की फर्जी बातों पर हल्ला कर के मंदिर और हिन्दू समाज की प्रतिष्ठा से खेल रहे हैं, क्या दोषी नहीं हैं?

क्या कागभूसुंडी जी की चोरी की पोस्ट लिखने वाले किसी भी व्यक्ति ने इस झूठ के खंडन की पोस्ट की?

नहीं। दरअसल उन्हें चोरी का दुख नहीं था, उनका लक्ष्य बस मंदिर की प्रतिष्ठा धूमिल करना था, जो उन्होंने किया।

चढ़ावे का पैसा चोरी करने वाले अधम तो पापी हैं ही, वे लोग भी कम नहीं जिन्होंने झूठ हल्ला मचाया। दुख होता है कि हिन्दुओं में मंदिर की प्रतिष्ठा से जलने वाले लोग भी हैं।

Taiwan solved tax evasion in 1951 with a trick so cheap it should embarrass every tax authority on the planet.

The problem was an all-cash economy full of small shops. A merchant pockets the cash, skips the receipt, and the sale never existed. Auditors can't catch what was never recorded, and hiring enough of them to watch every noodle stand costs more than the missing tax.

So finance chief Ren Xianqun flipped the incentive. Print a lottery number on every receipt. Draw winners every two months on live TV. Top prize today: NT$10 million, about $310K.

Suddenly the customer and the shopkeeper want opposite things. The merchant wants the sale off the books. The customer wants the ticket. And there are millions more customers than merchants. Every transaction now carries a built-in witness demanding the paper trail.

Year one, reported tax revenue jumped 75%, from NT$29 million to NT$51 million. Seventy-five years later, roughly 70% of Taiwanese still play. Convenience stores redeem the smallest NT$200 prizes at the register, so even a coffee receipt feels like a scratch card.

The elegant part is what the audit force costs. The prize pool runs about NT$7 billion a year, roughly $20 million. In exchange, the government gets 23 million unpaid auditors working every checkout line in the country, forever. No inspector general on earth delivers that coverage at that price.

Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Slovakia all copied it. The most effective compliance tool ever built looks like a game, and that's exactly why it works.
