Tamil Nadu was actually late to this protest. It only gained momentum here in the last 5 days. Students and organisers in Delhi showed remarkable resolve. Perhaps the movement became this powerful precisely because it had no affiliation with any political party. Forcing a minister in the Modi govt to resign is no small feat... Dream for opposition

In my view, this precedent will put pressure on all Indian (state and union) governments to be more accountable to the people.
