Personal hygiene is part of dignity, health, and daily care. But for children growing up in displacement camps, this important practice is difficult. https://t.co/1j2S3RoAgU
On July 29, The Sameer Project supported a personal hygiene initiative at the Holy Quran Memorization Center in The Prince’s Shelter Camp, where 70 children received hygiene kits containing basic supplies to help them care for themselves in the difficult conditions of camp life.
Cleanliness also holds deep importance in Islam. Teaching children to care for their bodies and maintain personal hygiene is not only about preventing illness, but about preserving a sense of routine, self-respect, and dignity even when so much around them has been taken away.
To encourage the children in their endeavors to memorize the Quran and implements its practices, we have put these small parcels as a reward for their efforts and faith.
The total cost of providing all 70 hygiene packages was just $270 including banking fees of 11%.
Small initiatives like this may seem simple, but for children living through displacement, they restore pieces of normal life that should never have been lost.
But these are also the initiatives that we will have to cut if we do not have an increase in donations - the ones that are not life or death but make the biggest emotional impact. Allow us to continue serving Gaza’s children and donate to our General Fund.

This is an absolute emergency; the situation we are facing is beyond cruel—it is impossible to describe.
We need you.
Please, I beg you to donate and share this campaign.
Don’t ever forget: the ONLY difference between you and the people of Gaza is geographic luck. Nothing else.

Sometimes I get this thought that my life will never change and that my reality will always stay the same. It really scares me. I don't want to spend the rest of my life like this.
Dr. Mohammad Abu Raei, a nutrition and gastroenterology specialist, said that Rantisi Children’s Hospital in Gaza City receives 30 cases of malnutrition every day. Some children as young as one year old weigh only 6 kilograms, compared with an expected weight of around 10 kilograms, posing a serious threat to their immunity and lives.
He added that malnutrition causes stunting and developmental disorders due to inadequate intake of balanced food, protein, and vitamins, particularly zinc. Around 18% of children in Gaza suffer from severe stunting due to the lack of sufficient and balanced food, especially protein rich foods.
I’m a Tawjihi scientific student in Gaza and I urgently need study books. 📚💔 We haven’t received support for two days. Please stand with me and share my post. 🙏🇵🇸
Behind us is a tent… and above it flies the flag of our homeland. 🇵🇸
This is me with my two children, Imad and Adam, in Gaza.
We lost our home and so much of the life we once knew. This tent has become our home… but look at our faces: we are still smiling.
I want my children to grow up remembering that even the hardest days of their lives could not steal their hope.
We are still here. We are still alive. And we still dream of the day when we can leave this tent behind and live safely in a real home again. 💔🍉
From our tent in Gaza, we send you love and hope. 🇵🇸❤️

Save Rawda Before It’s Too Late
Infant Rawda Abu Zarqa is suffering from a serious and rapidly deteriorating medical condition, with doctors suspecting a rare inherited metabolic disorder. She has an enlarged liver, severe growth failure, difficulty feeding, recurrent episodes of dangerously low blood sugar, and markedly elevated lactate and liver enzyme levels.
Doctors say she urgently needs to travel abroad for specialized genetic and enzyme testing to reach an accurate diagnosis and begin appropriate treatment, as these specialized services are unavailable in Gaza.
Every delay could put her life at further risk. She urgently needs to be transferred for specialized medical care before it is too late.
We are literally in Gaza, and we have become pawns in the hands of corrupt Western politicians.
No one seems able to stop this war, or perhaps no one wants to pay the price of stopping it. We are the ones paying that price instead: children are dying, women are being lost, families are being torn apart, and homes are being reduced to rubble, while the arms trade, dirty deals, and political interests continue at our expense.
Those who want this war to continue, and those who have the power to stop it but choose to remain silent, cannot claim to be separate from this tragedy. This war does not continue on its own; there are those who arm it, finance it, and provide it with political cover, while standing before the world and speaking about peace and human rights.
Three full years of death, hunger, displacement, and fear. Three years in which we have been treated as though our lives are worth less than political interests and deals.
How many more of us have to die before our lives matter? How many children have to lose their families before this world finally acts?
We are not asking them to save the world. We are simply asking them to stop destroying what remains of our lives in the name of politics and interests.
The decrease in donations is life threatening. For someone living with a chronic illness, running out of medication can quickly become a medical emergency. For this man in Al-Zahra Camp, there are no medical points nearby and essential medicines are increasingly difficult to find. https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1
This is why The Sameer Project brings care directly into displacement camps.
On July 27, The Sameer Project examined 44 patients living with hypertension, diabetes, asthma, atrial fibrillation, ischemic heart disease, and other chronic conditions in the camps making up the Al-Nasr area in North Gaza. Each patient received their necessary medications free of charge.
Chronic illness does not stop because Gaza is in crisis. Chronic illness does not stop when donations slow. Treatment cannot stop either. These patients need consistent follow-up and reliable access to the medicines that keep them alive.
Please help us continue reaching those who have nowhere else to turn. Donate to The Sameer Project’s Medical Campaign.

💔 We are no longer asking for much… we just want to live with dignity.
Behind every tent in Gaza is a family trying to survive, and behind every child is a little heart longing for something simple that makes them feel safe. 🥺❤️
We need your support to provide food and basic necessities for our children and ease the hardship they are facing. 🙏🏻
Even a small donation can make a big difference in our lives.
Please stand by us. God never lets the reward of kindness go to waste. 🤲🏻🇵🇸
🙏🏻❤️ Your donation today could be the reason a child smiles tomorrow.

Learning to cook the foods of Palestine is another way of learning where you come from. https://t.co/dT6xhwzZFU
At The Sameer Project’s summer camp’s “Food Corner” at Al-Hassan School, students learned to bake a traditional fluffy orange cake, carrying the flavors of the orange orchards of Jaffa, just north of Gaza, into their own hands.
Across Palestine, our food carries the same fresh, vibrant flavors of the land. Teaching these recipes to a new generation strengthens identity, preserves memory, and keeps Palestinian traditions alive.
It’s paramount to fight attempted ethnic cleansing, erasure, genocide, with a strong sense of belonging to the land, a Palestinian identity that cannot be shaken.
Your donation not only support our daily school activities but the preservation of the future of Palestine. Donate to assist by clicking on the Refaat Alareer link in our bio.

Look at how the trees and plants have grown around my tent, and how the green has begun to embrace it from every side… 🌱
Sometimes I stand in front of them and feel as though they are speaking to me:
“Don’t lose hope… You belong to this land. I am growing beside you to remind you that life can begin again, even among tents and rubble.”
Perhaps that is why I love seeing all this green around my tent…
On a land exhausted by war, life grows again to tell us: hold on to hope. 💔🍉
