Hollywood has maintained cultural hegemony across the globe since 1915, that means everyone in the world has been impacted by American Brand racism and antiblackness and internalized it in some ways and just about every nation is copying their media/propaganda playbook.
Euphoria is definitely a triggering show at times. I lost two brothers to overdoses. I never judged them. More than anything, I felt sad for them because I knew, deep down, they were carrying pain most people never saw… be kind.
It’s basically a posthumous lynching that Netflix is participating in. The amount of disinformation and omissions makes you wonder what the end game is. As though the details of this case aren’t readily available. It’s a hit piece against fans. How dare we not buy their story.
