it really depends on what your goals are. I was taught a lot to do with clothing and makeup by my cis friends without having anything else down. transitioning is a personal journey, and we’re advising you on a single step on a rocky path. do what’s best for you; I think that’s coming out now.

taking the step of telling people you’re trans, or that you’re a woman, however you want to approach it, is the hardest part but it’s also the most liberating. anyone who genuinely cares about you will accept you. anyone who doesn’t, won’t. why waste your time when you know how you feel in your heart? just do it. it’s not worth the mental anguish.
