Bob McNair was an Oilers fan. He had season tickets to Oilers games for decades. Bud Adams got commissioner Paul Tagliabue to give him in writing that no team other than the Oilers, who would become the Titans in 1999, would ever be able to use the Oilers name or colors. Ever!
Before and after Bob McNair was awarded his expansion franchise, he told me on multiple occasions how he wanted his team to be called the Texans. He wanted the Texans to forge their own identity, build their own legacy and create their own history. He wasn't interested in the Oilers' name or colors because those belonged to Bud Adams and his family.
People who pre-ordered a Nintendo Switch 2 from Walmart got a snack and drink for free
Walmart didn't advertise it, saying they wanted to surprise people with a "feel good moment"
The Houston Texans franchise could move to Knoxville, use Orange/White in their uniforms and create the greatest rivalry ever known to man with the Titans.
Exclusive: The Houston Texans are faced with two choices for their future.
Make significant renovations to NRG. Or seek public money build a new stadium entirely.
One will happen.
