A morning weĺl spent with the fishing community of Bhoj wetland, a Ramsar site. "Sustainable fisheries" the theme of World Fisheries Day 2024 is loud and clear here. Small Indigenous Fishes support sustainability, livelihood, nutrition, ecosystem services and climate smart too.

Happy with his prized catch, this boy is not aware of Tilapia, an exotic fish, invaded waterbodies of MP. These pics are from a rural wetland near Bhopal. We have recorded exotic species in urban wetlands of Bhopal also.
