@KaskaJessica Yes. Knew when I was 13 but had transphobic parents and i was too scared to talk to them. I started at 21 when I finally worked up enough courage. My body stopped growing by about 17, so I didn't get any bone changes after starting and I just look like a guy.
@bandagedeunuch I didn't reclaim my femininity when I recognised I was trans at 13. I wasn't allowed to do anything feminine at all or even be friends with girls :(
@kitkatuhlina@TheGriftReport When I was in school people were literally doing drugs and having sex at that age. It's not surprising or weird at all that he was in a relationship with someone.
@Retro_Temporal@ManMilk2 I remember hearing that adoption is almost impossible to do in Japan and kids at orphanages don't typically get adopted as they want to keep the kids to make money. Not sure if it's true though.
I genuinely don't know how people can think this. Especially when they don't actually know any trans people (in fact there are trans people here telling their experiences but they refuse to listen)
The first ever mention of trans people I heard of was from my mum when I was below the age of 5. I didn't know what trans people were, but she was openly transphobic my entire childhood. I wished I was a girl so bad throughout my childhood and sought out feminine things (which I was shouted at for and taught that it was wrong).
I eventually started feeling anxiety about being around anything feminine because i was scared of being punished.
I started feeling depressed when puberty started and wished a lot more badly that i could have the body of a girl and had been born a girl. And at 13 I realised I was trans. At this point I realised what my mum had been doing all my childhood and I was too scared to talk to anyone about it (and I've still to this point at 22, never had a conversation with another trans person).
I've felt depressed my whole life all because I had no support or people to talk to about this. I started thinking about killing myself as I got older. The only thing in my life that makes me feel this way is being denied the childhood that I wished for back then. I don't even really consume any trans content or feel I belong in trans spaces, because constantly hearing about all of the bad things happening to trans people just makes me feel worse.
