We are thrilled to announce that #GodofWarRagnarok has gone gold!
On behalf of SMS and all of our partners, thank you to the fans for supporting us over the course of development. We’re almost to launch and can’t wait for you to play on November 9! 💙
There is a general perception that C/C++ is only for peak performance cases, so API can be ugly — if you wanted easy and clear, you would be using a different language. I think that is unfortunate. It is possible to make “joyful API” in C.
@FlohOfWoe whether I design top down or bottom up depends. for heavily user facing things, top down. for performance critical internals, bottom up. for most code, I use an iterative approach. create the minimal set of functionality needed for each step and refactoring as I go.
@SauceMeta@TheJackForge honestly, don't really worry about it. when you can recognize this kind of stuff, you've already graduated beyond it into a whole new level of "crap, I _really_ don't know anything..." :D
