Viva Piñata immediately jumped off the page to me for a Furality Ultra avatar concept as a mid-2000s furry game.

Unfortunately each piece has been juuust slightly beyond me. Great for learning, bad for deadlines.

So probably won't have it ready for Furality, but hopefully soon!

As it is, fursuits/fursonae aren't just weekend costumes for many people... see above re: "being less normative."
