Typos apparently happen when typing in VR at midnight after a weekend of sleep deprivation. ;P
I also forgot to mention the above is @photografotter's pic. My very similar one is below. An no, there were no sacrifices in the fire pit.
@VRChat Beyond Ultra itself being great, what I'm happy to see is everyone getting a fresh injection of ideas and motivation to create. That momentum continues to benefit the community - financially, creatively, socially - beyond just those few days.
Viva PiΓ±ata immediately jumped off the page to me for a Furality Ultra avatar concept as a mid-2000s furry game.
Unfortunately each piece has been juuust slightly beyond me. Great for learning, bad for deadlines.
So probably won't have it ready for Furality, but hopefully soon!
@Hirozu7 Thanks for sharing the story. I think it's easy for people to get taken in a bit by all the happily-ever-after coming-out stories, but there's a lot of times (for me too) when it doesn't go so smoothly.
Also appreciated your dad's take re: easier being with guys. ;-P
@johnnyb37958136@Kangazeroo Also with other fandoms (anime, jedis, Trek, etc.) there's a sense of it taking place in a specific other universe, like consider "the Looney Tunes fandom."
As it is, fursuits/fursonae aren't just weekend costumes for many people... see above re: "being less normative."
@johnnyb37958136@Kangazeroo Sex is controversial, socially and particularly religiously. How, when, and with whom you do things is judged more harshly the farther from normative it is. Furry - being less normative - is therefore a perfect subject for unscrupulous engagement bait.
End of an era for North American shortwave fans. For those who don't know, a handful of radio stations around the world transmit accurate (atomic clock) time on certain radio frequencies. CHU has broadcast the time in one format or another for roughly 100 years.
