He slumped a little, discouraged by the captain's words. But as he continued, Leon raised an eyebrow and placed his hands on his hips.

"Well if I'm so useless then why am I getting a trial run?"

[‍‍‍‍‍𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐑 ‍‍ ‍‍ @RuthlessGuile]

lead in any situation, got it? Your recruitment will be a trial run. If you can pass that then maybe I'll consider making you a part of the team."

"Well... I'm definitely great with guns." He shrugged, knowing that alone wouldn't be enough.

"But before I went to the police academy, I did get a bachelor's in criminology. I know a lot about analyzing data and strategy."

[‍‍‍‍‍𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐑 ‍‍ ‍‍ @RuthlessGuile]

"It depends on what you have to offer the team, rookie."

He exhaled some smoke before snuffing his cigarette out.

"Every person in the S.T.A.R.S. unit has a unique skill."

"Yeah, but you also handle the tougher cases. And S.T.A.R.S. is so unique- it would be great experience. Please, I'll do anything. Even if you just need a secretary or a personal assistant or something, I can do that."

[‍‍‍‍‍𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐑 ‍‍ ‍‍ @RuthlessGuile]

"You do enough as a police officer, Kennedy. Typically, S.T.A.R.S. does not get a call for months."

[◜𝒫 𝑅 𝐸 𝒯 𝒯 𝒴 𝐵 𝒪 𝒴◞ @virtuouskennedy]

"Being a police officer has been great, but..." He paused for a moment. "It's not really what I was expecting. I want to do more."

[‍‍‍‍‍𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐑 ‍‍ ‍‍ @RuthlessGuile]

Raising a brow.

"And why would you want to do that?"

[◜𝒫 𝑅 𝐸 𝒯 𝒯 𝒴 𝐵 𝒪 𝒴◞ @virtuouskennedy]

He only hesitated for a moment before relenting.

"I wanna join S.T.A.R.S."

[‍‍‍‍‍𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐑 ‍‍ ‍‍ @RuthlessGuile]

Glancing up, Wesker took a drag of his cigarette and sat back.

"Do you need something, rookie?"
