@ACTFibernet is the worst service now in Chennai. Speed is never consistent. Location change takes ages to complete no proper customer support. No updates on tickets.
Please update the Arattai app from the Play Store/App Store and please encourage your contacts to do so. The end to end encryption will be enabled
Tuesday night IST. Some important notes:
1. If you are on the latest a
Arattai version and your contact is on the latest version, you will only be able to use end to end encrypted chat with that contact.
2. For the above case (both on the latest version), a new end to end chat session will be created for that contact and the old non end to end encrypted chat session will be archived. So you cannot continue the old chat session with any contact who is in the end to end encrypted version of the app. The old chat screen will simply redirect you to the end to end chat screen.
3. For those contacts who are in an old Arattai version, you will be able to continue to use the old chat session (and please tell them to upgrade to the latest version of Arattai!) but only for 3 days. Once they upgrade, they will go to case 1 above. In 3 days, we will upgrade everyone to the latest app, and at that point, end to end encryption will become a system wide mandate. These 3 days are a transition phase.
4. Group chats are not yet end to end encryption enabled and we will roll that out in a few weeks for groups of a certain size.
5. End to end encrypted chats will get a backup option in about 2 weeks.
We have many more cool features in the works once we get through this big transition.

BSNL is providing very affordable plans with ONLY Voice & also minimum Data.
On behalf of all of us, I have two Suggestions:
- Most Indians have Wifi access. Senior Citizens use Wifi mostly. Please provide an affordable 1 GB per day plan with options to choose (28 days onwards). Also a yearly plan.
- Provide affordable Voice only plans for less than ₹100 every month. Anything above this is forcing people to take data, even if they don't need it.
There are many who use only voice and also less than 1 GB per day. Need inclusive plans. Let users decide.

Below is how the Arattai app design looks now. We offer a tab e2ee (for end to end encrypted) and any user can set that as the default for all personal chats. We will have end to end for group chats (up to some group size limit) later.
Now your feedback needed on:
(Option 1) Any user can make e2ee default for all their one to one chats or pick a particular chat to be in e2ee mode. The app will go to e2ee even if one of the parties has set e2ee as their only mode and the other user has not set e2ee as their only mode.
(Option 2) We are also thinking of Arattai system wide default of e2ee for all one-to-one chats. This means that e2ee mode is the only option available for one to one chats. Group chats in e2ee mode will arrive later.
Some people do like the option of cloud based chat for some of their chats (device storage limits don't matter) so we have been thinking of option 1 but we could easily adopt option 2 (option 2 is cheaper for us!).
