My niece committed suicide this week.
She was only 14.
She was targeted by a pedophile ring on TikTok, and and groomed. Sent them pics etc.
Her mom found out when Homeland security showed up at the door a couple of months ago. (They didn't tell the rest of the family)
The guilt and shame along with an already anxious mind was too much.
She was receiving therapy, and they did not think she was suicidal.
There was no warning, and no note. but her mom found her hanging by her light fixture on Monday afternoon.
If you give your kids free access to social media YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO THEY ARE TALKING TO.
It's not out in the open. It's hidden in DM's.
They disguise themselves as other kids. They are insidious, and good at infiltrating "protected" group chats.
Get your kids off of Tik Tok and Instagram.
Do not let your daughters (or sons) post provocative photos because everyone else is doing it.
The threat is real. And according to the govt. agents who took my nieces statement far more common then anyone wants to admit, and it's a GROWING problem.
This is not a political post. Anyone who comes in here with politics, will get blocked.
My family feels broken right now. I feel broken. Please have decency if you choose to reply.
This is a message to parents or grandparents who have teenagers and think they are safe on these apps.
THEY ARE NOT.
Been traveling around so much for cruise it didn’t feel right not to visit my mama personally…so I went to see and speak to her today🤭💛✨

This day (plus several weeks following it), I was actually feeling really shitty. This babe and this trip to Erin-Ijesha waterfalls made it bearable. ❤️
We got to Erin Ijesha safely, Olumirin Waterfalls in Osun state to be precise. I could only climb to the 2nd waterfall even though it as 7 levels. The most intriguing part of this place is the cold water and the rock steps. I felt nature for the first time guys. iré o 😎🚌🎒🎶
it should be a new beginning for Osun state in all the identified sectors: from mining to agriculture to ICT and tourism, and if I may add- governance!

@William_Ukpe@EuginhoCortez@MuyiwaSaka Security is the key. My business partner pulled out of business with me last year due to high insecurity in the country, I lost some investors who were interested in investing in the tourism industry in Nigeria but security and bad infrastructures kicked them out of the deal
@XmasinEkiti: @OlumiluaMuyiwa listed some of the tourism sites in Ekiti to include the Ikogosi Warm Spring, the Arinta waterfalls at Ipole-Iloro, the Ero Dam, Fajuyi Memorial Park, Olosunta and Orole hills in Ikere, the source of Osun river at Igede, Ewi’s palace in Ado Ekiti...
