My politics come down to one simple principle: We have enough for everyone, so everyone should have enough. We don't have a scarcity problem or even a logistics problem, we have a greed problem.
“Maybe if we were Ukrainian, with blonde hair and blue eyes, the world would care. But because we are Palestinian, we only have one right—to die and be maimed.”
Journalists are being systematically hunted & killed in Gaza, they shouldn’t have to plead for solidarity
Jimmy Carter:
"The word 'apartheid' is exactly accurate…they are absolutely & totally separated…the Israelis completely dominate the life of the Palestinian people."
"There are powerful political forces in America that prevent any objective analysis…"
This is likely to be one of my more controversial takes, but ultimately the smell produced by a homeless person taking shelter from the cold on public transport is *harmless*. It might be unpleasant, but it can be tolerated (or avoided) in the name of compassion.
@Johnbrown1860 @mindyisser For getting around in the extreme cold or heat carrying all your belongings? Idk why I’m bothering to reply to you, you clearly lack empathy lol hope you never end up on the streets for people to assume the worst of you!
@ag2900@mindyisser Where else can they go in the freezing cold weather? The places they frequent people complain about, like the initial tweet we’re replying to. Let’s dare to use to critical thinking here
“In America, we do not ki!! people in cold blood to resolve policy differences or express a viewpoint”
The Philadelphia police dropped a bomb on a West Philadelphia neighbourhood in 1985 ki!!ing 11 people, including 5 children, destroying 61 homes and leaving 250 people homeless
