Dear Python Community,
We are living through a time of great transformation, and as developers, we have a unique opportunity to shape the future. The challenges we face are complex, but I believe that we have the creativity and the determination to find solutions and build a better world.
One of the greatest sources of hope in this moment is the rising generation of developers, the members of Gen-Z who are bringing a new perspective and a new energy to the dev scene. They are a generation that is diverse, connected, and socially conscious, and they are already making their mark on the world of technology.
As Python developers, we have a special role to play in this transformation. Python is a language that embodies values like simplicity, inclusivity, and collaboration, and it has the potential to be a powerful tool for positive change. But to realize that potential, we must be willing to listen to and learn from the voices of Gen-Z, to create space for their ideas and their leadership.
We must also be willing to challenge ourselves and our assumptions, to strive for greater diversity and inclusion in all that we do. None of this will be easy, but I believe that if we come together as a community and harness the power of our collective intelligence, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
So let us rise to the occasion and use the power of Python to create a future that is more just, more sustainable, and more equitable for all. Together, we can build a better world, one line of code at a time.
With hope and determination,
Kenneth Reitz
Python Developer and Advocate
What's fascinating about Bhimrao #Ambedkar is how he inspires those who take his thought seriously. Case in point: the dedicated volunteer team at @baws_bot who created https://t.co/T8wcpVAsUv, a free site that lets you search most of his works. Check it out on #AmbedkarJayanti
From Dr Ambedkar's writings and speeches:
It is true, Mahatmaji, that you started to think about the problem of Untouchables before I was born. All old and elderly persons always like to emphasize the point of age

The madness has started! One changes the name of cities or bulldozes things he doesn’t like, the other is aiming to get the clock right! They are insanely courageous

#Python tip: Sometimes it helps to rename functions to match the way you think about them rather than how someone else thinks about them:
from math import tau as twopi
from math import exp2 as twopow
from math import log as ln
@Technovanza Exclusively letting only those who registered online to enter your vjti campus is the worst thing. Parents have wasted a lot of time outside waiting in long queues only to be told they are not welcome. #worstexperience#exvjti
Another example of the use of Generative AI in India. WhatsApp bot where you send broken English or even Hindi and it replies with equivalent good English
