🧵/ Today we announced something really exciting that we've been working on for a while.
@Razorpay and @NPCI_NPCI are bringing agentic payments to @claudeai & we’re starting with @zomato, @Swiggy and @ZeptoNow.
I’m sure people @grok would have known that people will use it for all the wrong reasons and yet they didn’t incorporate measures to prevent misuse which is pathetic.
The next day, they have cancelled the order. The irony is, other retailers are selling the glasses. Why on Earth did Meta’s official announcement mentioned Sunglass Hut if they don’t have the stock.
Horrible experience with @sunglasshut India. I pre booked the @oakley@Meta smart glasses after Meta India’s official launch announcement mentioned Sunglass Hut for pre booking. I had to pay the full amount of ₹47.6k. They have cancelled the order now citing unavailability.
Sunglass Hut must compensate me for holding up my money for 12 days without providing any service. I contacted the customer service multiple times and I was told the delay was due to a technical issue. I lost patience and filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline.
The Coimbatore gang r*pe is monstrous.
A girl’s nightmare, a nation’s shame.
Just encounter one of those bastards and instil fear in anyone even thinking of such!
Safety irrespective of gender can’t be compromised. And please, keep your victim-shaming and casteist filth to yourself. Kongu guys (so far from my circle) justifying or mocking this? Spineless doesn’t even begin to describe it.
We deserve safety wherever we go, whatever age we are. That’s your damn responsibility.
Not everyone is like this but the majority of them are. Just very recently at Mumbai airport, I had a friendly banter with an officer since he happened to know Tamil.
.@CISFAirport officials at @aaichnairport should stop talking in Hindi by default. The other day I was speaking to an officer and he just started talking to me in Hindi. I told him in English that I don’t understand Hindi, so please talk in Tamil.
I don’t know in what world Hindi has anything to do with being international. Please enlighten me. I hope he doesn’t expect foreigners also to speak in Hindi.
@MtcChennai@yash_4205 This happens on every bus, at least on thr Tambaram to Chengalpattu route. I sent you a DM long back regarding this and it was never responded to.
The answer is so simple: Because I want it to improve. Because I care.
But people like this make it very clear that they simply prefer if we leave rather than let things improve, so I've started taking that hint now :)
Yesterday, I had a visit from a young man who follows me on social media.
He travelled a long way to meet me.
He identified himself with alcohol use disorder.
He lost his job recently because his working skills and travel to the office was severely hampered.
He took on some work from home on freelance projects but could not deliver on time because he was mostly drunk or sleeping or going out to get more alcohol.
Initially he drank with friends, but they stopped coming because he used to get aggressive and violent when alcohol serves were limited. He did not need them anymore and started drinking alone, even right after getting up from bed.
He has a wife and a young daughter who stayed separately with his sister-in-law since past few months because his aggression turned towards the little girl.
He told me he could not remember a lot of things. Sometimes he forgets to take a bath and when people around him tells him he stank, he would remember.
He stopped going outside and meeting people. He started developing suicidal thoughts and attempted once.
He lost his self when his daughter called him on the phone last week, to wish him on his birthday. He took the train to meet me.
I have enrolled him in our de-addiction program and the specialists will strive hard to ensure that this young family will get back together. He has no cirrhosis, so he does not require follow up or treatment from my side.
But on this occasion, I would like to summarize some points on what alcohol does to your brains. Please read and share widely.
@theliverdoc The students will suffer today. The rest of the public will suffer in a few years time due to this mismanagement. There might not be enough medical professionals to cater to our population.
