• More complexity

Naive TTL works until traffic spikes.

Better approaches:
• Jitter
• Mutex (single refill)
• SWR (serve stale, refresh async)
• Early refresh

1/ Thundering herd problem

When many requests hit the same resource at the same time, systems slow down or crash.

Common triggers:
• Cache expiry
• Retries without jitter
• Failovers
Fix is to break synchronization.

@PuVVNLHQ Despite multiple complaints about live uninsulated wire above my house in Phoolpur currently hanging on a weak wooden pole, my issues are repeatedly closed without contact or inspection. This is a serious safety risk.
