There won’t be any nomination hearings. On day one Trump will declare a national emergency. He will then appoint everyone to his cabinet with the “acting” title. He can do that for 200 days - long enough for them to completely dismantle the departments they were assigned to. Then he will nominate who he really wants to look after what is left. But then he will have bullied and harassed congresspeople enough that they will just push everything through.

I really wish people would start paying more attention to how much power a president has if he declares a national emergency. It’s a virtually untethered.
