@GladysB 75% of adults are now fully vaccinated in the UK. Covid is not going to disappear and Australians have to learn to live with it. It’s inhumane to leave Aussies stranded abroad. When is Australia joining the rest of the world? When can I see my family again?

I have no words. Shame on you @ScottMorrisonMP! Whilst the rest of the world opens up and learns to live with covid, you make it even harder for Aussies living abroad to see their families, in my case 3 years and counting. I’m ashamed to call myself an Australian

Australia will now lock in citizens who normally live abroad, requiring them to prove to the Govt that they have a compelling reason to return to their lives overseas.

The move will deter citizens in distress from trying to get home.
