@HMRCcustomers tax code in august was 1177L. Have started a new job in October and my tax code is now 78TX? I was self employed from April to July but barely made anything and I declared end of self employment in July. Why such a low code?

@HMRCcustomers Correct employers details yes, I haven’t been able to access my payslip yet (only been there 5 weeks) so will call HR tomorrow however my online tax account shows it as my tax code with about £200 taken in tax but I haven’t earned anywhere near £12k that I should be allowed.
