My Journey with Prayanikudu

Prayanikudu was my dream project – my first independent feature film. We began it back in 2009, even before films like Erojullo and Dongala Mutha. We shot the entire movie on a DSLR camera – Canon 7D – which was a rare thing at that time.

This film was only possible because of my hero, Krishna Chaitanya. Without him, Prayanikudu wouldn’t have happened. He not only acted in the film but also funded it. I truly believe he’s one of the finest actors I’ve ever worked with. Ever thankful to Krishna Chaitanya.

I want to thank my amazing direction team – Kittu, Srikanth Siddareddy, Stalin, Vijay, and Srinivas. They were passionate, fearless, and ready to do anything for the love of cinema. Till today, I’ve never come across a team like them again.

While shooting Prayanikudu, we spent several nights inside police stations – three different ones, in three different situations. But none of it felt like a struggle. We were living our passion, not just working.

One of my dreams is to make a film or write a story about how we made Prayanikudu – a behind-the-scenes journey. I hope I get to do it soon.

There are countless memories and so many people to thank. We started in 2009, held auditions at Lamakaan, and began the first schedule in 2010. We finally completed the final cut in 2014. It took us nearly three years, but it never felt long – every moment was worth it.

A special thanks to Sukumar sir, who supported me immensely during this journey. I can never thank him enough. Honestly, his role in my life deserves a whole book – which I’ll speak about someday, when the time is right. But for now, I’ll just say he stood by Prayanikudu and believed in it.

I don’t really know how to end this story… because my heart is full of memories, experiences, and gratitude.

@Telugu360 Maybe the TG SAFE team can publish a list of the safest restaurants in the city every three months. This would give people more confidence to visit those restaurants, and the list could be updated after every inspection.

@greatandhranews I think this is a craft that is very much needed in TFI at present. We need professional producers who know how to complete a film within budget. Most Telugu films were budget failure films than subject Failures.
