Psaki: Why did you invoke Natalie Harp?
Ossoff: We’re in wartime. The commander in chief has mired us in this geopolitical disaster. People have lost their lives. Our naval logistics are frayed. The global energy system is in crisis. And he retreats into this bubble of West Wing aides who are his security blanket to make him feel good about himself, to reassure him that he’s doing a great job, to help him while he designs his new ballroom. And he adorns the Oval Office in gold and picks the interior decorations on this new luxury flying palace he received from a foreign prince.
When every single minute of every single day, what the president of the United States should be doing is bearing his most solemn burden of care for the sailors and Marines and aviators and all service members deployed on his orders on the basis of his lies to this disaster in the Middle East
Received a message from a Mom whose son is aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. Copied and pasted below. BLUF: She ain't happy, and I agree:
My SON is aboard the Lincoln and to see people say “it’s what they sign up for” is bullshit. These sailors and Marines know EXACTLY what they sign up for. That’s not what’s in QUESTION. What is in QUESTION are the conditions they continue to LIVE IN. My son has has done 3 deployments with the CAG attached to the Lincoln. Back to back to back with MINIMAL down time. If you haven’t been deployed on a ship - then STFU. Those who have, you KNOW how shitty it can be, but STRAIGHT sea time of over 250 days is bullshit. A carrier that should be dry docked for maintenance, still at sea. No means to an end to this deployment. I’ve seen the pics of what they’re feeding the sailors and marines.
I KNOW the many care packages I’ve sent my son because they have no basic needs on the ship to give. I think the American people ought to be ashamed of themselves in the comments that I’ve been reading in regards to this. This is absolutely disgusting and disheartening.
But this is the American 🇺🇸 way. IF IT DOESN’T AFFECT SOMEONE PERSONALLY, then who gives a shit, RIGHT????? (Insert everyone’s OPINION)
I’ve deployed plenty and I’ve never endured the conditions that my son is enduring at this moment. It’s BULLSHIT.
I’m not entertaining or going back and forth with ANYONE in regards to this. I’m standing my ground with how I feel about this and it’s not up for debate, from me. I know what I know from what my son is EXPERIENCING. He’s strong ASF mentally, but EVERYONE can have a breaking point.
The current administration/SECDEF should be ashamed of how they’re leaving their military in the state it is. All the ships in that region, but they don’t give a shit. Just bring them home and don’t start a war when many of your fleet carries are dry docked and down for maintenance.
The conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln are a disgrace.
Food shortages. Rationing. Mental Health Challenges. Lack of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Republicans need to end their reckless war of choice in Iran immediately.
EXCLUSIVE: The wife of a service member onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln tells me that this is the "worst deployment" he has ever experienced in 20+ years of service.
"They are exhausted . . . and they desperately need help."
Sailors are urging the public to share their story.
We are supposedly at war to stop Iran from enriching the uranium we “obliterated” over a year ago.
Yesterday we signed a deal to help Saudi Arabia enrich uranium.
The first time the United States has ever helped another country enrich uranium on foreign soil.
The Saudis refused the inspection protocol 140 other countries accept. Too intrusive, they said.
Trump agreed. He signed a national security waiver to get around the rule.
The Saudis paid Kushner $100 million. They put $2 billion into his firm. They put another $6 billion into LIV Golf, which pays Trump properties to host its tournaments. They signed ten billion dollars in Trump-branded real estate deals in Jeddah and Riyadh. All in just the last few years.
But sure. My paintings.
• March 2025: Taylor Farms contributes $1 million to Make America Great Again Inc., days after the FDA delays the Food Traceability Rule.
• The FDA informs Taylor Farms that one of its iceberg lettuce products tested positive for cyclospora, prompting a voluntary recall.
• During the cyclospora outbreak: The New York Times reports Taylor Farms hires a former Trump White House official.
• Last week: Taylor Farms executives meet with White House and FDA officials, where the company challenges aspects of the government's outbreak conclusions, according to the New York Times.
• Now: Taylor Farms says the FDA apologized, calling the positive test a false positive and stating no Taylor Farms product has tested positive for cyclospora.
Hunter Biden: “I believe the biggest problem in America is not the oligarchy, it’s the closetocracy. Everybody knows there is this closeted gay mafia, largely Republican, that exists in DC. The only reason that is relevant is I believe that internal conflict creates so much vitriol inside a person that they take it out on the rest of the world”
I spent the last few months talking to people across the political spectrum, and to people who want nothing to do with politics at all. Here is what I learned.
We are not a divided country. We are a country being divided, on purpose, by an American oligarchy that profits from the fight. They’ve captured our government, denied our healthcare, looted our treasury, and saddled us with crippling debt.
I believe in a New New Deal. Healthcare as a human right. The right of every family to a decent home, and an end to endless wars.
And a dividend paid to every American from the AI economy, because these machines were built on the whole of human inheritance. That inheritance belongs to all of us, and not just to the handful of men playing God with our very existence.
And none of it happens if we just move on. Donald Trump, his family, and his administration are robbing us blind, not just of our money, but of our faith in one another, and they have to answer for it. Truth and reconciliation, not revenge. Then we break the system that let them do it.
The question is not whether we will lose our democracy. The question is whether we will fight to take back what has already been stolen.
I learned in recovery that you can’t heal what you won’t name. Neither can a country.
Wow this guy owns the FBI who turn up at his house because of a Social Media Post
Look at the shame on their faces.
This dude wins the internet today hands down.
Olympic kayaker Davey Hearn's lawyer:
"Today Davey Hearn pled not guilty, because he is not guilty. If Mr. Hearn can be charged with a felony for touching the Reflecting Pool, every American is at risk, and every American should be alarmed about this prosecution. This indictment reflects the administration's effort to scapegoat and to shift blame for their own failures."
We are back to bombing Iran during the ceasefire for the Iran war that is not a war because Iran bombed a vessel for crossing the Strait of Hormuz that they don’t control yet apparently control.
Not sure how they bombed the vessel because we have totally and completely obliterated their military and beat them in the war that is not a war like 40 times now.
I’m so glad that Trump ran for president to end forever foreign wars otherwise I might start thinking this war that is not a war that we won like 40 times is starting to turn into another forever foreign war in the Middle East.
Good thing Pete Hegseth, Secretary of the Department of Defense, I mean War, is headed to Israel to take orders from, I mean ask for advice, on how to totally wipe out Iran, I mean bring peace.
I’m totally sure no one in the executive branch or donors will do any sort of insider trading based on super duper secret military decisions.
You know the kind based on intelligence that Congress is going to fuse with Israel’s military after they all vote to pass the National Defense (war) Authorization Act.
Because this is exactly what we all voted for when we said Make America Great Again.
Take a moment to really look at this photo. 👇
That is the White House lawn. The People's House. Sacred ground that has stood for 226 years. Not destroyed by war. Not by disaster. But for one man's pleasure.
We are 13 days away from our 250th birthday as a nation, and our president spent $14 million ripping out the Reflection Pool to build himself a swamp. Another $600 million turning the East Wing into rubble. Rose Garden destroyed. And $60 million for his own birthday party that tore up the lawn.
226 years it stood strong. This man destroyed it in a year and a half.
One photo that screams exactly what he's done to this great nation.
Meiselas: So what’s your message to Trump, who says that he will be attending Game 3 of the Finals at Madison Square Garden?
Jeffries: Stay away. Why does this guy always have to make everything about himself and ruin a good thing? After 27 years of being out of the NBA Finals, we’re now up 2-0. The city is in a frenzy. Everybody’s coming together, and somehow this guy has to parachute in with his divisive self.
I stood at this pool, at both monuments and saw both reflections…
He’s a God damn idiot, as are the fools that support him. The “Reflection Pool” wasn’t designed by American architect Henry Bacon a hundred years ago to look like a swimming pool. It’s designed to have a darkened characteristics that has reflective qualities to reflect the monuments.
That way, the Washington Monument is reflective to you when at the Lincoln Memorial, and when at the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial is reflective to you.
It’s designed to enhance the grandeur of monuments, create an illusion of reflection, and inclusion of expansive space of unity.
He’s a tacky vulgar person that vulgarizes everything he touches. America isn’t becoming great, it’s becoming vulgar.
