Trump completely capitulated to the Iranians.
I did not have a big enough imagination to believe we would sign a deal respecting theocratic dictatorship and then giving those killers billions and billions to strengthen their autocratic repression.
Ben Shapiro: "This MOU appears to be a disaster that does not achieve any of the signal goals that were set by the administration at the beginning ... in my opinion the vice president, the chief negotiator, has not well served the president"
Deliver the Truth Whatever the Cost:
Almost a decade ago, I stood at the White House and told the truth about Iran.
Iran was then testing the new Trump administration.
Today, my message remains unchanged. If America is to strike back, it must strike back with all forms of its strength (diplomatic, information, military and economic).
Never apologize for American power.
Never negotiate from weakness.
If we act, America must act with overwhelming force using all forms of its power.
That is not negotiable.
Iran will never comply with any deal. They will rebuild. The Iranian people will suffer (even more). Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, et al., will benefit. The regime will grow stronger and they will eventually possess nuclear weapons.
I remain anti-stupid war.
However, when American prestige is significantly on the line (which it is now) and when you’re having to over-explain something (which it appears we are doing), that something is probably not a good thing.
Speaking for myself as an American who has put his life on the line (time and again), this message is to the rest of the world and all the haters of our freedoms here at home (you know who you are); be careful what your next steps are because the American people deeply and sincerely love and cherish freedom and we are not about to willy-nilly roll over for anyone or any nation.
Take that to the bank.
The MOU with Iran is nothing short of a complete surrender. Regardless of whether you support the war or not, there is not reason to have given Iran everything it wanted, to get NOTHING but 60 more days to talk. I’m sorry America, because this is an EPIC FAILURE.
President Trump deserves great credit for making a decision for the first time in modern history to unleash the armed forces of the United States against Iran last year and this year…
But I do have very real concerns about the MOU now that we see what’s In it and also what’s Not In It.
This MOU with Iran does smack of the kind of appeasement that our administration rejected in the Obama-Iran nuclear deal and also when Joe Biden attempted to return to the politics of appeasement during his administration.
I would urge the President to take a step back, continue the blockade and pursue a negotiated settlement that commits Iran to dismantling their nuclear program, dismantling this missile program, ends support for terrorist proxies and opens the strait. Failing that, we should let our Armed Forces finish the job on our terms.
The net result of a war that cost $60 billion, killed 13 Americans and thousands Iranian civilians, set off a new war between Israel and Lebanon, and caused massive U.S. inflation:
America agrees to give Iran billions in exchange for nothing.
A disastrous humiliation.
To all those who promised Trump was committed to democratic regime change in Iran, you owe the Iranian people an apology. He just affirmed to respect the brutal dictatorship in Tehran. And to help them consolidate their power, he’s going to help them access hundreds of billions of dollars.
