Today is Black Child Mental Health Day as part of #BMMHW24.
The mental health of Black mothers and their children are intrinsically linked. Black children face unique challenges: less understood by GPs, less likely to access support, and impacted by parental experiences of racism.
We must address these disparities and nurture Black children's mental health.

Today, on Day 3 of Black Maternal Mental Health Week, we're shining a light on pregnancy loss and birth trauma. These experiences can leave deep, often unseen scars.
In collaboration with Tommy's, we're highlighting the invisible burdens many Black mothers silently carry:
• Anxiety about pregnancy outcomes and future pregnancies
• Trauma from difficult birth experiences or medical interventions
• The weight of generational health disparities
• Stress from navigating a system not designed with their needs in mind
• Pressure to be strong when support is desperately needed
These burdens are real, and you're not alone. We're here to listen, support, and advocate for better maternal care for Black women.
