⚠️ 38 hours detained in South Korea & China. Indian traveler Sachin Awasthi and his wife landed for a holiday carrying valid travel documents. Instead, they were detained for 38 hours. No sunlight. Limited food. He says he was pressured into buying an expensive return ticket. If his documents weren’t valid, why was he cleared to board the flight in the first place? The embassy didn’t respond. The airline went silent. The detention and humiliation happened on their soil. DGCA must investigate. Indian travelers cannot be collateral damage.

38 hours of pure RACISM & torture! 🇮🇳💔 Sachin Awasthi was caged like a criminal in Jeju, South Korea. No sunlight, jail food, & blatant discrimination just for being Indian. China transit was a horror show: No phones, no water, & police bodycams inside the washroom. Then, they were blackmailed into buying return tickets at 10x the price. Questions for @IndianEmbSeoul & @EOIBeijing: 🚩 Is racism against Indians now a standard travel protocol? 🚩 Why did our Embassy ignore their calls for 38 hours? 🚩 When will you demand justice for this state-sponsored extortion? ⚠️ Just watched Sachin Awasthi’s video. Here are a few things to understand if you're planning a Jeju trip: 1. I went from Busan to Jeju and it was smooth. The best way is to enter and exit via the Korean mainland. 2. You MUST fill out your K-ETA before arrival and have all hotel bookings confirmed. 3. I wasn’t asked for cash and had zero on me; I just used an ATM at the airport, don't bother with agencies. 4. While the airline staff is to be blamed, I am shocked by how @Fly_JuneyaoAir treated them. 5. Glad I chose Air India for my trip! Strict action is needed. 6. Also, a huge "kudos" to the Indian embassy for not picking up calls, is this what you're paid for?. I hope DGCA looks into this and bans Juneyao Air in India so no other Indian traveler gets trapped like this. 🇮🇳✈️
