🌞 La corona solar solo se revela durante los eclipses totales... y aún esconde uno de los mayores misterios del Sol: ¿por qué alcanza millones de grados, mucho más que su superficie?
Te lo contamos en nuestro nuevo artículo del blog 👇

SOLAR-1 is now operational! The new SOLAR-1 observations can be seen on our webpage at https://t.co/CxVMJhZprU The full NOAA statement about SOLAR-1 now being operational is at https://t.co/LSieFuST3X
🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
I am so excited to share that SOLAR-1 has finally completed its provisional testing and has been cleared by NOAA NESDIS for release! SWPC will begin publishing the real-time solar wind data along with IMAP data TODAY!
There is still one more thing to workout for CCOR-2, but that will be coming soon!
I can't say enough what a freakin honor it has been to work with the NOAA wide SOLAR-1 teams the past few months to get everything ready to go for everyone. Seeing the test and validation work put in and how it compares to ACE and DSCOVR is truly incredible. 🥹
Stay tuned for more details!

If the NASA model is correct, we could be looking at a G3+ level storm. If NOAA is more correct and we get a slower, flanking blow, we will likely see a shorter G2 level storm. Of course, all of this depends upon whether the magnetic field orientation in the coming storm points southward (which we cannot predict before arrival). The previous set of storms this week hardly had any southward pointing field. That is why they fizzled out.
Each World Cup brings some interesting flights, but Santiago de Compostela to Nashville has to be near the top of the all-time list. https://t.co/vFupxlenyf
🔭 ¡Plazas agotadas para las Jornadas de Puertas Abiertas del Observatorio del Teide!

¡Gracias por vuestro interés! Un año más, esta iniciativa vuelve a ser todo un éxito. 🌌💙
The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path
The lunatic is in the hall
The lunatics are in my hall
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon
The lunatic is in my head
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane
You lock the door and throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.
And if the cloud bursts thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon
I can't think of anything to say except...
I think it's marvelous! Ha, ha, ha!
