An Open Letter to the Jantar Mantar protestors:
My dear young friends,
I address you today not as a politician or an MP, but as someone deeply troubled by what is happening to your generation of young Indians.
This is personal for me. I was born to a middle-class family: my father was a salaried newspaper employee, my mother a homemaker, with three children to educate on one income. For a family like ours, merit was not a slogan. Scholarships, fair examinations, honest results — these were the only way one salary could carry three children's dreams.
I went to school in Mumbai and Kolkata, to college here in Delhi, topped the University and earned admission into IIM — and chose instead to follow my passion for international affairs, in America, on a scholarship. Nothing was inherited; everything was earned by hard work and yes, Exams.
So I know that a fair, merit-based system is the only ladder for young people from lower and middle-income families to climb up. When that ladder is broken — papers leaked, examinations cancelled, trust destroyed — the children of the rich and powerful do not suffer. They have other ladders. It is your dreams, and your families' sacrifices (and tragically, in some homes, young lives themselves) that are betrayed.
To the young people gathered at Jantar Mantar, and those raising your voices peacefully across India: this country hears you. Your anger is not indiscipline — it is the anguish of a generation that did everything right and was still betrayed . You are not alone.
And to the millions of young Indians watching quietly: your generation is not a problem to be managed. You are the answer to India's future. Do not lose hope. This ladder will be rebuilt — by you, and by every Indian who stands with you.
To Shri Sonam Wangchuk-ji, my heartfelt appeal: please end your fast. You have awakened the conscience of the nation; that is what a fast is meant to do. India needs your voice for the long road ahead.
With Parliament in session again from Monday, we will have an opportunity to raise the students’ issues in the highest forum of our democracy. That’s where the problem should be addressed, not by fasting unto death. Please heed my plea.
And finally, to the Government: I respectfully urge you to reach out and engage in the dialogue our democracy owes its young citizens. That is not weakness; that is statesmanship.
One of the most satisfying moments of my banking career. ❤️
Some time ago, a rural customer visited our branch. He wasn't educated and initially refused to enrol in PMJJBY.
But people in rural areas place immense trust in bank employees. After I patiently explained the scheme to him, he finally agreed.
₹436 was debited as premium.
Unfortunately, he later passed away. 💔
His wife came to our branch only for a normal death claim settlement. She had no idea that her husband had enrolled in PMJJBY.
His account had barely ₹650 — and even that was a significant amount for the family.
She was uneducated, couldn't sign, knew nothing about documentation, and didn't even know how to obtain a death certificate. She had lost her husband and had two children to take care of.
We immediately started helping her. I explained the entire process, sent our sub-staff with her for assistance, completed the paperwork, and personally followed up on the claim.
Around 20 days later, ₹2,00,425 was credited to her account.
The happiness and relief on her face… I still can't explain it in words. ❤️
We couldn't bring her husband back.
But that ₹436 decision gave his family some financial support when they needed it the most.
That day, I genuinely felt proud that my job as a banker could make a difference in someone's life.
Sometimes, the greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that someone's life became a little better because of you. ❤️

Bank Unions may Call for consecutive 2 Days #BankStrike for decade old #5DayBanking demand in March at very Crucial Time.
India’s entire financial architecture runs on a 5-day work week—
Except the bankers who keep it running. 15 lakh Bank employees are still denied a basic, humane reform.
Parity isn’t a privilege. It’s justice.
A modern economy demands modern work practices.RBI, Govt offices, LIC, and insurers follow a 5-day week—bank employees must too.
Equality at work is not optional.
#5DaysWeekForBankers
My mom was a cashier at PNB.
My dad worked as an Administrative Offer at United Indian Insurance, most of his career.
I had a great childhood (not necessarily a "rich" childhood). My parents taught me to read, think, analyze things critically.
My mom always said: that education never goes to waste. So I studied hard & worked hard. Tried to ace every exam that I took.
I was not handed "wealth" in terms of money. I was handed wealth in terms of knowledge. So I used it.
Right from acing exams, getting into top programs, working with top consulting firms, scaling social media etc. All done on merit.
There were numerous opportunities that I missed due to lack of money.
So I understand the importance of money. Therefore, I keep learning money management skills. And, keep teaching the same to my community.
Was I lucky? Yes. I really wish that all of us become luckier each day.
To get luckier, however: you need to evolve.
1) Learning about US stock investing
2) Global investing
3) Options etc
4) International Real Estate
5) Indian stocks
All are tools to manifest your luck.
I simply encourage people to keep the surface area of their luck big.
Final point: what I teach is backed by results, not just theory. Last 1 year performance:-
Anyone could have built this portfolio with me (including Indian residents).

🚨 UPGB: From Banking to Brutality: The Truth No One Wants to Hear 🚨
Last night, Manager #Amit_Kumar returned from the Regional Office after a meeting that ended post 10:30 PM. While returning home late at night, he met with a serious accident and is currently struggling for his life in the hospital.
Since amalgamation, #UPGB has turned into a pressure cooker of fear, unsafe late nights, and an inhuman work culture. Meetings running till 10-11 PM are being normalized, workloads are endless, and employee health, safety, and dignity are ignored.
The responsibility for this toxic culture lies with #HR #Saurabh_Gupta (888776429O) and #RM #Anirudh_Singh (7389937I86), who together have institutionalized late night pressure and intimidation.
RM Anirudh Singh, who came from @bankofbaroda , is widely perceived to be treating RRB employees as subordinates rather than professionals, enforcing a command-and-control culture that is alien to the ethos of Regional Rural Banks. This growing sense of discrimination and disrespect has deeply demoralized long-serving RRB staff.
On 31st December at 11:40 PM, bill transfers were rejected despite full knowledge that the portal would close the next day causing avoidable financial loss and mental harassment to employees. This was not an accident; it reflects reckless authority without accountability.
For an entire week, meetings stretched till 10–11 PM daily, pushing bankers beyond human limits. HR dictates, RMs execute, and questioning this culture invites punishment.
Last night, tragedy struck:
A manager returning home late after work met with a serious accident and fractured both legs. This is the real human cost of glorifying late-night “commitment.”
This was completely preventable.
Yet, senior union leadership remains silent, watching employees burn out, suffer, and risk their lives.
Under Chairman #YS_Thakur, UPGB is no longer functioning like a bank: it resembles a system of fear, where employees are driven by targets, threats, and exhaustion rather than professionalism.
How can #5DaysBanking survive when employees are forced to work late nights and weekends?
This is a call to all banking unions, regulators, and authorities:
👉 Stop late-night meetings
👉 End discriminatory and authoritarian management practices
👉 Restore humane working hours
👉 Fix accountability in HR and regional management
@finminindia@dfs_india@bankofbaroda
Banking cannot run on fear. Productivity cannot come from intimidation.

Yesterday, Class XII results were out. So many kids with 90% plus in family and friends. One friend shared his daughter got into Harvard for engineering.
I’m proud. Truly happy for them.
But later that day, a quiet thought crept in…
Some basics financial factors one must check before investing:-
-Earning/share must be increasing in last 5 years
-Debt to equity lower than 0.50 preferred
-Return on equity should be greater than 20%
-Price to sales ratio must be less than 1
-Current ratio should be greater than 1
-Promoters holding more than 50% preferred
-Net profit margin the higher the better
-Cash flow from operation must be positive
Remember it’s just basics for a company belonging to manufacturing sector.
#GoodMorning
My investing Strategy which includes l following points:-
-First I check Market cap preferably upto 1k cr or below it
-Then check its products either Business scalable or not , by googling you can find growth of that industry for next few years
-Who is running the company means
Promoter history with Background check, Type promoter name on google, you will get many links
-Then read employee reviews about that company available on google
-Then I see it's last 5 to 10 years sales and profit Growth the more the better and then its cash flow from operations, it should be positive along with profit.
-Either Growth funded by external accruals or internal accruals
-Are management shareholders friendly or not which you can find whether Company create value for shareholders in terms of Capital appreciation or paying healthy dividends or giving bonus or not
-What's Return on Equity in last 10 years
Preferably 15% above should be consistently
-Is company margins better than its peers If not then what’s problem company facing To know you can check its annual report M&D section
There are more things to watch which I will share further.

Shri @raghav_chadha sir your statements in Parliament against bank employees and the banking sector are completely baseless, misleading, and impractical. Bank employees have always worked with dedication, ensuring the smooth functioning of the financial system and implementing government policies effectively.
Instead of blaming employees, the focus should be on strengthening the banking system with better policies, adequate staffing, protection to bank employees, infrastructure and fair working conditions. Such irresponsible statements demoralize lakhs of hardworking bank employees who serve the public despite numerous challenges.
We strongly oppose these false allegations and demand a fair and factual discussion on banking issues.@FinMinIndia@nsitharamanoffc@nsitharaman@ChVenkatachalam@UFBUIndia@aiboc_in
