@hyperfixedpod I’m blind and have aphantasia on top of that, and it’s super disabling. Also, I’ve hypothesized for awhile now that galvanic vestibular stimulation is a non intrusive way to give people with aphantasia imagery.

@Radiolab I’m totally blind and stimulating my vestibular system gave me mental imagery, thanks to active inference. I’ve been looking for the right person to share this with, as I think it could help both blind and sighted people.

In addition, staff tend to grab my body in ways that make me uncomfortable, and they talk about me like I'm an object. "Will you board her?" I am a person! #dobtter

Especially at palm beach airport, but other places as well, I keep getting told that a wheelchair is the only way to get help. I refuse that as I am ambulatory and don't want to give up my bodily autonomy.

@fbaccess The reason we're using the mobile site on a computer is because it's easier to navigate with a screen reader than the regular site. So some accounts are being disabled or restricted literally for no reason and it's not fair.

@meganphelps I think it’s telling how invested I am in interacting with you and tweets around this podcast. It’s that same seductive hope that my words are powerful enough to invite someone to consider another perspective. When in reality, I think those moments are exceedingly rare.

@meganphelps @politicalmath You should see my previous tweets for an explanation (and I'm also happy to talk more on DM), but I'll add that this idea that we can change people's hearts and minds on all topics through debate is a seductive one. I think people see it as speaking to the heart of democracy.
