My tribute to Mackenzie Rowles, aka Camelworks.

Dagoth Ur, and Dagoths Gares, Reler, Ulen and Uvil.
For the past two years, Camel and I had been working up the lines for these Sixth House fiends as part of a mega Elder Scrolls lore video, which sadly was not completed before his passing.
Understandable with all the upheaval in his personal life and his health in that time. We put far too much toil, sweat and love into the direction, voicing and SFX for them to remain dormant however, so here is a late treat to honour a decent, supportive and deservedly popular man.
I lost count of the of times he tried to set me up with current and former employees of Bethesda in an effort to give me a leg up in my career. He didn't need to, I didn't ask him to, he just did it. Because that was the kind of supportive, selfless bloke he was.
Rest in Power, Mr. Rowles.
Been trying to get this out for the last few days.
It's with a heavy heart to let people know that on November 5th Cookie The Dog Passed away. She will always be in mine and your hearts and I will miss and love her forever ❤️ See you in the next life, partner in crime
I spent most of the day yesterday reading through all of the replies on my @Asmongold post. Lots of hot takes on both sides claiming that he's irredeemable or did nothing wrong in the first place.
For those that think he's irredeemable.
What if you're wrong? The first chance at real change in his behavior and the go to is to hit him with a stick. You're creating an environment that only promotes further sliding into that character because then at least he has acceptance. Polarized environments don't help breed change they just enforce more polarization. Would you rather someone with a massive following self reflect and admit wrongdoing or be pushed further into a hateful state? What kind of example is even being set here?
For those that think he did nothing wrong.
He admitted what he said was wrong many times. It was reductive, hateful, and needless. There is no questioning that at this point and claiming it to be true just reinforces an echo chamber. The internet is a small place but the world is larger than your take on it.
Both extreme stances on this argument are absurd to me. I've spent my time fostering a community where failure is not an end but a beginning to growth. The first step is and always will be introspection and self reflection. For those that claim they lost faith in me and will no longer watch my content, you weren't watching it anyway if this is a surprise to you.
Does it mean he will come out of this the person you want him to be? Likely not, but I can both denounce his awful behavior and positively reinforce his good behavior. Just like I would for anyone else.

Chris here - just to elaborate.
Not been a fan of Mr Beast's content for many years now. I don’t think he’s inherently bad, but like many folks his content isn’t aimed at me and thankfully his videos never appear on my homepage.
However, seeing him partner with Logan Paul, a man who's done nothing but awful act after act for almost a decade now just made me snap.
It may have been six years but I still have the dystopian fucked up image in my head, of Logan Paul vlogging himself in the Aokigahara forest, mocking somebody who was quite literally hanging from a tree before him. And rather than do what any decent person would do, and show compassion and immediately switch off the camera, he recklessly and selfishly exploited it for views. He carried on filming. He joked about it. And then he actively uploaded it to his channel.
Then I had to go on Japanese national tv and explain why a foreign YouTuber would want to exploit a man who’d tragically taken his own life for views. Understandably, everyone in Japan was confused why anyone would do such a thing.
And while I believe in forgiveness, Logan Paul hasn't exactly reformed his character. He's not a changed man - barely a week goes by without a new headline of some outrageous, awful shit he's actively partaken in.
So to see the world's largest Youtube gleefully partner with a man like that and endorse them to an audience of tens of millions of kids is something that just sickens me, all in the name of some disgustingly tacky food product, again aimed at children. I'm not sure what counter argument he has up his sleeve this time, but you can be damn sure references to philanthropy will be made in abundance.
My rant wasn’t about “making money is bad”. It was about the act of making money by partnering with a man with an abhorrent track record to sell crap food aimed at children seems like a pretty spectacular error of judgment.
Got some things off my chest today on stream with Connor. So sick of YouTubers and streamers.
Shocked the world’s largest YouTuber gleefully partnered with a guy who filmed/mocked someone who took their own life in Japan in 2018.
What world do we live in where this is normal?
