TikTok and "influencers" have fucked things up for a lot of people. Here's a tip from an old guy that's been through some shit; just live your life and stop putting everything on the internet. Learn to enjoy being alone with your thoughts. You don't need to show everyone how it's done. And likewise, you don't have to blindly follow an "influencer" you will never meet.
I keep seeing all of these posts where people are carving out their version of what the “South” is.
One on hand I’m glad to see people taking pride in the South. Appalachia, and the South, have been tied to ridiculous stereotypes for far too long.
On the other hand, some of their versions are absolutely ridiculous. There is one simple way of telling whether a place is “southern” not, aside from the obvious borders created over a century ago, and that is:
