Yesterday I attended virtually ISAAC’s Public Meeting. As a candidate I affirmed my commitment to doing all that I can through advocacy and training to uphold the issues most important to this amazing organization. I look forward to bringing about great change in our community!
Yesterday was my last day as a librarian. A huge opportunity came my way to be the Program Coordinator at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. I will forever be a librarian in my heart. In the time of transition (when I’m not canvassing and attending events) I’ve started a new book!
Happy Indigenous Peoples Day! Have you read “FireKeeper’s Daughter?” It is an amazing book set in Sault Saint Marie and written by Michigan author Angeline Boulley.
I am so honored to receive the endorsement from the @MEAOnline We need to trust our teachers; not drag them down by demanding "parental rights," webcams in classrooms and control of curriculum. I stand with our teachers and will continue to advocate for them. #RedForEd
I never thought all the virtual story times I’ve done would be the best prep for recording my campaign statement for public access! Apparently I’m very animated and bubbly; not like the other candidates. I’ll take it! #LibraryLife#Run2Win
The Council 25 Executive Board, based on the recommendation of their AFSCME PEOPLE Committee, voted to endorse my candidacy. I am committed to improving the lives of working families in Kalamazoo County.
Happy #FirstDayOfSchool for much of Kalamazoo County. I hope everything went well for you this morning. A special THANK YOU to our teachers who have already been so hard at work preparing for today and this school year!!
Loved knocking on doors in my neighborhood this weekend! It was great meeting folks! Please vote for Justin Mendoza for state house and re-elect Sean McCann for state senate. And me for County Commissioner! #voteblue#midems
