Lame duck session in Lansing: where #MIDems have decided the legislative process is optional. Committees are jamming through bills with zero testimony and prohibited members to ask questions. Members barely have a moment’s notice before hundreds of bills are rushed through like it’s a legislative fire sale.

#MIDems know Republicans in Michigan will retake the Governor's Mansion, the MI House, the MI Senate, and Secretary of State's office one day.
They also know election integrity will be a top priority for Republicans. /8
Rather than focusing on saving thousands of jobs at risk across the state due to the new tip law, #MIDems are prioritizing giving free driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants, releasing violent criminals from prison, and dishing out another $250 million in corporate welfare. #LameDuck #MILeg
.@GovWhitmer and the #MIDems must have heard a different message in November because they are about to double down on the progressive craziness that cost them everything during Lame Duck.
Democrats in the House are planning to pass legislation to:
❌ Give free driver's licenses to illegal aliens.
❌ Offer the ability to select “gender x” on a driver's license.
❌ Release violent criminals who have served 20 years.
❌ Double the cost of malpractice insurance.
❌ Reinstate Hollywood Film credits.
❌ Requires drivers to “opt-out” instead of “opting-in” to the MI Parks Pass when you renew your license plate, essentially making it a mandatory fee.
❌ Enter the National Popular Vote compact.
❌ Double the cost of getting a marriage license.
❌ Add six additional weeks to UIA benefits.
❌ Provide free water to cities.
❌ Expand government-funded free housing programs.
In 2024, the MI Legislature enjoyed an unprecedented $9.2 billion budget surplus. Instead of @GovWhitmer and the #MIDems budgeting responsibly, they blew through the entire surplus in months. Now, they are proposing to:
❌Raise the gas tax by 19 cents a gallon.
❌Increase our vehicle registration fees by $100.
❌Create toll roads on Michigan interstates and charge drivers toll fees.
❌Increase the price of watercraft legislation fees by 30% from '25 to '27 and then another 15% from '28 to '30.
❌Increase hunting and fishing licenses by 50%.
❌Create a new permit fee to use state-owned shooting rangers.
❌Double the amount the Travel and Convention Bureau can assess on hotel rooms.
❌Add a fee to all water meters throughout the state.
