In the 70s, 80s and 90s the IRA would put up "Snipers at Work" road-signs throughout Northern Ireland where they had shot Police and Security forces previously.

John Sack, who is jewish himself, wrote a book titled “An Eye For An Eye: The Untold Story of Jewish Revenge Against Germans in 1945.”

His German publisher cancelled the book. Why? It tells the story about how Salomon Morel was the commandant of the Zgoda labor camp in postwar Poland, where he was accused of overseeing the torture, abuse, and deaths of prisoners. The book doesn’t even name Salomon by name; the character believed to be Salomon in the book goes by “Shlomo.”

Poland twice requested his extradition, once in 1998 and once in 2004, but Israel refused to comply and rejected the more serious charges as being false and again rejected extradition on the grounds that the statute of limitations against Morel had run out and that Morel was in poor health. He died in Israel in 2007.
