Our #StaffStarOfTheWeek is Owen Corkery!
Owen is always a wonderful role model and, every week, he is incredibly supportive to both his students and staff.
Well done, Owen, and thank you for all you do!
It's school holiday time (for many), which means it's book giveaway time again.

@MrsSTeaches@KateJones_teach@Carousel_Learn I like to use the A B C model of response.. agree, build, challenge. Children use hand symbols to help instantly respond in class not just for retrieval but throughout lessons.
Spent time this week sending out invitations for what promises to be a memorable weekend in September for @stmaryswhitkirk as we celebrate in with @nickbaines @LordMayorLeeds 100 years since @TempleNewsam was acquired by the city of Leeds. Here’s a copy of the invite from 1922.
Year 4's trip to Nell Bank saw us be Enterprising Elephants!
Working as Collaborative Camels in teams, we carried supplies across the mountains, and solved the problems of transporting water and food.
@HPLedu
We have been Open-Minded Octopuses whilst den building.
We looked at other teams' designs, identified problems and adapted our dens to make them even better!
@HPLedu
There has been so much fun to be had at Nell Bank, with pupils enjoying the adventure playground and being Collaborative Camels during a game of Jenga!

Our #StaffStarOfTheWeek is Dr Vic Peat!
Vic has shown amazing professional curiosity in the way in which she has researched, implemented and shared good practice in relation to the roll out of @HPLedu.
Well done, Vic, and thank you for all you do!
Year 4 have been focusing on their values, attitudes and attributes.
In science, they have been Enquiring Eagles and Collaborative Camels as they found out about the digestive system and created a poster for their display.
Last week, Year 4 went on an Antarctic expedition!
Inspired by Shackleton's journey we put up tents, camped out and entertained ourselves by reading books and singing songs.
