Scientific advances are often the result of many small steps instead of giant leaps.
Onboard #NG18 are new science payloads that will investigate bioprinting a meniscus, new ways to cool electronic devices, and plant adaptations in microgravity. More: https://t.co/mH7vnmFmKr
.@Space_Station extension through 2030 = More science ops!
From critical 3D printing capabilities to innovative crystal growth + new manufacturing materials, ISS serves as a testbed for next-generation Redwire technologies that benefit us on Earth + future long-duration missions
Our ROSA solar arrays, currently enhancing power to @Space_Station, will power the #DARTMission + be used on future @NASAArtemis lunar missions.
Learn more on our arrays, how they work + how they can easily adpat to support a variety of important missions for @NASA:
At Redwire, we're proud recyclers♻️ - we even developed tech for it!
Our Recycler facility will be capable of turning polyethylene raw materials into usable 3D printing filament for our 3D printer aboard @Space_Station, a key tech for future space missions. #NationalRecyclingDay
Take a peek and look inside 👀
Last week, Redwire engineers opened up both of the modules for the Ceramic Manufacturing Module that recently returned from @Space_Station. Now removed from the payload, the ceramic test prints will be fired in a kiln and undergo testing.
#DYK Redwire provided multiple Coarse Sun Sensor (CSS) Detectors for the @NASA_Landsat 9 mission?
This tech is critical because it provides the spacecraft's position in space ꟷ plus sun solar array pointing, sun acquisition, fail-safe recovery + sun presence data. (🧵Thread)
What is lunar regolith simulant and why is it important for future @NASAArtemis missions? Redwire’s Howie Schulman, Redwire Regolith Print project lead, explains:
We’re launching new hardware to @Space_Station! 🚀
The Redwire Regolith Print is a new technology demonstration using lunar regolith simulant, a critical step in developing sustainable lunar infrastructure for future @NASAArtemis missions. Learn more: https://t.co/IuXTNyqF55
