I have it on good authority that the same robber barons make both Cap’n Crunch AND Crunch Berries.

But I keep reading on Truth Social that the Strait is "100% open" and "fully controlled" by the U.S. I'd hate to think that Trump was just spouting wild lies again.

@EsotericCD @jstannehill @NRO My Belarusian friend gave me a subtitled copy of the Russian tv series from 2005. Seems ok so far.

Desperation is never appealing to folks

@EsotericCD @NRO My favorite book. I was saddened to learn, recently, the the Ukrainians tore down his monument and cleared out his museum in Kiev for being anti-Ukrainian independence 100 years ago.

[Jim Geraghty @jimgeraghty]

@JayCaruso I mean, technically the Axis Powers were generally not fans of Russian tanks, either.

[Erick Erickson @EWErickson]

In all fairness, @elonmusk is not to blame for the starlink situation in Ukraine. It’s a Pentagon operation and the Trump Administration is responsible.

[Boze Herrington, Library Owl 😴🧙‍♀️ @SketchesbyBoze]

People are keen to blame anyone but themselves for the fact that recreational reading is in its death throes. The awful truth is that we were born into the most literate era in history, we had access to all the world's knowledge, and we willingly gave it up.

[Abigail Falanga @AbigailFalanga]

It wasn't that long ago that there were racks of cheap paperbacks, including classics, near the checkout counter of most stores. You know when that stopped being a thing? Yup. Soon after smartphones gained popularity.

It was never about accessibility.

[Susannah Black Roberts @suzania]

Well yes it is true that Christians love “dysgenic” people you’ve got me there

[Fletcher A. Vredenburgh @vredenburgh_a]

@Chris_arnade @ernietedeschi I used to bitch about the price of new books, but calculated for inflation, they're pretty much t BB e same as they were 40 years ago. Now, I can find pretty much what I want in the edition I want.

[Fletcher A. Vredenburgh @vredenburgh_a]

@Eyedocduncan @emmma_camp_ @WSJFreeEx Rent has to cover taxes, building maintenance, and some sort of profit in addition to any sort of renovation costs. And why should they have to recover renovations over fifteen years?

[Fletcher A. Vredenburgh @vredenburgh_a]

@Chris_arnade @shagbark_hick My dad, who grew up loving going to the Finger Lakes in the thirties, used to tell me how depressing much of that area was getting thirty-five years ago. I don't think anyone down here in NYC gives a crap about this, either.

New York has the authority.

New York has the resources. What’s missing is leadership.

As Attorney General, I will enforce the law and put New Yorkers’ safety first.

Ukrainian forces using drones have destroyed a large group of Russian Spetsnaz special forces who attempted to cross the Dnipro river into Kherson city to conduct widespread sabotage.

[Keith Ainsworth @AinsworthKeith]

450-year-old Paris food market opened in 1615 burned to the ground overnight. Completely destroyed.

The Marché des Enfants Rouges opened under Louis XIII.

It was the oldest covered food market still operating in Paris. Firefighters said nothing remains of the covered hall.

@peterssmith6 @mattyglesias Visibility is definitely worse and impacts more neighborhoods. Where I grew up there was a methadone clinic and things could be crappy. Today, in the same area, the clinic's gone, but the junkies/street crazies are WAY more numerous and WAY worse. Led to restaurant closures.
