من أدعية الصالحين إذا بلغ أحدهم أربعين سنة فذهبت حرارة الشباب ، واكتمل رشده ، ورزق ذرية فتأكدت معرفته بفضل والديه عليه بعد فضل الله وصار يخاف على ذريته ، وقد أدبر عن الدنيا واقترب من الآخرة ماجاء في قوله تعالى ( حَتَّىٰ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ)
