Sen. Mitch McConnell, 84, has been hospitalized since mid-June after being found unconscious (EMS reported cardiac arrest). His office says he’s improving and working remotely, but no recent proof of life or details have been released.
Kentuckians deserve transparency on whether he can still serve. If not, follow the law and trigger a special election.
I’ve reached the entirely unscientific conclusion that one should eat the pudding.
After all…
The inventor of the treadmill died at 54.
The inventor of gymnastics died at 57.
A world bodybuilding champion died at 41.
Even Maradona only made it to 60.
Meanwhile…
The chap behind KFC reached 94.
The fellow responsible for Nutella lived to 88.
The Hennessy patriarch seems to have done rather well for himself… at 98.
Which does make one wonder how we arrived at the conclusion that endless jogging is the secret to immortality.
Consider the rabbit… permanently sprinting, leaping and generally behaving as though it’s late for an appointment… two years.
The tortoise? Barely moves unless absolutely necessary… two centuries, give or take.
I shan’t be cancelling my walks, but neither shall I be declining dessert out of a misplaced sense of athletic virtue.
Everything in moderation…
Especially moderation.
Another follow up on this… this Aug. 3rd date has to do with a candidate deadline for the GENERAL election, not for a special election. Two different statutes that have not been tested by the courts together. By the time the issue makes its way through the courts, a new Congress will likely already be in place, making the issue moot.
Eighteen years ago, I came to this province with nothing. I didn't own a thing. I had a tiny room, smaller than a jail cell, and my entire setup was in the closet. It took many years, a lot of hard work, and the kindness of some truly good people to rebuild my life. I had my little cat, a computer someone gave me, and a dream. Sitting in that little closet, I became a writer and wrote my first book. As most of you know, by the grace of God, I've now published 19 books, with more on the way whenever I can afford to print them. Leaving behind my old way of life and becoming the person I was meant to be meant starting from absolutely nothing. I had to build everything back up, one piece at a time. That's why it hurts so much today when I lose things. Every single thing I own represents years of hard work, sacrifice, and second chances. I worked hard to rebuild my life and put it back together the best I could. No excuses. Just gratitude, determination, and the refusal to give up.
This time last week, completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. A huge thank you to everybody who has supported The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

WATCH: The Boston Pops performs Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture with perfectly choreographed cannon fire from the U.S. military.
As God, country, and the composer intended.
Do you know why I'm pissed off on this July 4th? Because I'm seeing the greatest country in the history of the world increasingly bathing in the infinity pool of parasitic suicidal empathy (as has occurred with much of the West). PLEASE activate your inner honey badger and defend American freedom. Do not take American Exceptionalism for granted. Fight! Fight! Fight!
@SirBylHolte Sounds like one of my friends. She lives in a gated community with an armed guard at the gate. But she will show up with the other blue haired old ladies from her neighborhood and protest ICE. SMH
Sanctuary state Illinois gave a previously deported illegal alien a drivers license.
He couldn't read, write, or speak English.
Then the alien drove drunk and killed
Katie Abraham.
This wasn't an accident. Democrats' sanctuary policies let this happen.
😂 This is why so many of us accidentally got a classical music education from Saturday morning cartoons.
Warner Bros took absolute bangers from “fancy dead European dudes,” added anvils, explosions, and one very unlucky coyote… and turned them into generational earworms.
Huge credit to the legend @Vinheteiro for this perfect medley that’s been living rent-free in our heads for years.
Childhood = classical music class without realizing it 😂🎹💥
What’s the one piece that instantly takes you back to Looney Tunes?
A man (Samantha Tempest, here abbreviated to ST) is arguing in court that he belongs in a group for menopausal women. It is pointed out to him that menopause is the cessation of ovulation and that, being a man who never started, let alone ceased, ovulating he does not belong in such a group. He disagrees. He says he's had 'menopausal symptoms' like hot flushes and brain fog. This is like me claiming to have been in the army because I once shot an air rifle and quite like khaki.
@tammie4au04@ScottJenningsKY@HispanHombre In my world, which is small every liberal I know is suffering from some kind of illness. They are eaten up with hate and it shows. All they do is complain about the government. These are people who have homes, no debt, live in gated communities, and they are miserable.
