Israel fired on the Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza using a tank gun, but claims that it was an accident.
The Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pizzaballa, expressed doubt that the attack was unintentional.

In this Jubilee of Families, Children, Grandparents, and the Elderly, I greet all families, which are the small domestic churches in which the Gospel is received and passed on. May faith, hope, and charity always grow in our families.
Today’s world needs the marital covenant in order to know and welcome God’s love, and to overcome the forces that break down relationships and societies, through its unifying and reconciling power.
No one has ever seen God. He turned to us; He went out of Himself. The Son became God's living interpretation, His living narrative. He gave us the power to become children of God. Do not seek—let us never seek—any other power! https://t.co/H22F3WDx0e
Our Christian unity, life and mission is close to my heart, shown in St. Augustine’s words that I chose for my episcopal motto: In Illo uno unum.
Christ is our Saviour and in Him we are one, a family of God, beyond the rich variety of our languages, cultures and experiences.
@dianemontagna Great News!!!
By meeting with US Vice President Vance Pope Leo is paving the way for Stronger Vatican Diplomacy and Partnerships to work together towards World Peace!
The days of Division are over!!!
Those who bear witness to social commitment, popular movements, and various Catholic workers’ organizations are all an expression of those existential peripheries where hope endures and springs anew. I urge you to give voice to the poor.
They’re getting ready for the Mass of Inauguration of Pope Leo XIV as the successor of St. Peter. I want you to recall what’s so important: the most effective way to pray is with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. @thegnewsroom
The Jubilee is a time of conversion and renewal, an opportunity to embark on a new path, animated by the hope that we can build a world in which everyone can lead an authentically human life in truth, justice and peace. https://t.co/nIO0mkxv4e
War is never inevitable. Weapons can and must fall silent, for they never solve problems but only intensify them. Those who sow peace will endure throughout history, not those who reap victims. Others are not enemies to hate but human beings with whom to speak.
The Holy See is willing to help enemies meet, so they may look each other in the eye and so people may be given back the dignity they deserve: the dignity of peace. With heart in hand, I say to the leaders of nations: let us meet; let us dialogue; let us negotiate!
There is so much violence and so many wars in our world! Amid this horror that should provoke outrage—as people die in the name of military conquest—stands the call of Christ, who repeats: ‘Peace be with you!’
Christ's peace is not the silence of the tomb after a conflict, and it is not the result of subjugation. Peace is a gift that gazes at others and renews their lives. Let us pray for this peace, which is reconciliation, forgiveness, and courage to turn the page and start again.
POPE LEO WISH LIST
These are the things I would like to see happen under the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV. I’ll try to keep it reasonable and realistic….
1. Bishop Strickland restored or placed somewhere suitable for his calling. The same goes for all other bishops wrongfully removed from their dioceses.
2. Traditionis Custodes repealed.
3. The creation of ordinariates for the SSPX, to end the canonical irregularity, and all traditional societies folded into those ordinariates.
4. Fiducia Supplicans repealed.
5. Amoris Laetitia corrected (clarified).
6. Abu Dhabi Declaration corrected (clarified).
7. Corrections (clarifications) made to the catechism emphasizing Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation.
8. Some kind of document like Summorum Pontificum which permits all priests to celebrate the Novus Ordo Mass ad orientem, and celebrate the mass in the most traditional way possible.
9. Some kind of document that emphasizes the right of the laity to receive communion on the tongue while kneeling and encouraging priests and bishops to make necessary accommodations.
10. A reorientation of ecumenical dialogue to prioritize reunification with the Eastern Orthodox.
@Bull_Bull357@RaymondArroyo This is what I found. I believe Pope Leo XIV will be very Traditional. He's already wearing vestments that are very Traditional. And he will restore the Latin Mass

@Sachinettiyil We need Cardinal Robert Sarah as our next Pope. If not him, someone of his caliber. We need someone who will stay true to Church doctrine and not try to change things. Keep the Catholic Church traditional!
