This is from yesterday... Look at the autos encroaching on the main road. They have no fear because they know they won't be penalized. This is the situation across many major roads. Why can't we impose a slam-dunk penalty? Fun part: Fitness expired, no insurance, no PUC either.

Biggest problem for pedestrians in Ahmedabad is illegal car parking establishments, bungalows extending private garden on footpaths and shops extension on footpaths.

Indian Roads Congress Standards specify a minimum clear width of 1.8 meters for residential areas and at least 2.5 meters for commercial zones.

Build better footpaths, but also keep them clear. Strong enforcement is essential for a pedestrian-friendly City @AMCommissioner

@NHAI_Official The fact that your official representative misrepresented it is a different issue altogether. But the bigger question is: why are speed breakers installed on a National Highway instead of properly designed rumble strips? Speed breakers on highways pose a serious safety risk.
