DANGER: "Fresh" Bagged Lettuce Is Drowning In Chemicals & Biosolid Sewage

Grocery Store "triple-washed" or "ready-to-eat" bagged lettuce is dumped through heavy chlorine baths (the same chemical used in toilets and pools, but at industrial levels), then sealed in plastic with special gases to stay "fresh" for weeks.

These greens frequently start in fields fertilized with biosolids (treated human sewage), sprayed with multiple pesticides, and processed with aggressive chemicals that are banned or restricted in many countries. Even "organic" bags aren’t always spared from the harsh washing or contamination risks.

The scary part?
- Bagged salads are linked to far more E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria outbreaks than whole heads of lettuce.
- Bacteria can hide inside the leaves — rinsing at home doesn’t fully remove it and can sometimes spread contamination.
- All that convenience means more processing, more chemical residues, and less actual nutrition.

Don't risk your family’s health for a few minutes of “easy salad.” Buy whole heads of lettuce, wash them thoroughly yourself, buy from local farm markets or grow your own if possible.

Your gut and immune system will thank you.

Robin Hood is often portrayed today as a proto-socialist hero who robbed the rich and gave to the poor. That interpretation says more about modern politics than about the legend itself.

A more libertarian reading is that Robin Hood was fighting against a corrupt political class that used state power to extract wealth from ordinary people. His main enemies were not successful entrepreneurs, merchants, or productive landowners. They were the Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John, representatives of political authority who imposed arbitrary taxes, confiscations, and abuses of power.

In many versions of the story, Robin Hood does not oppose private property. He opposes the violation of property rights by those who hold political office. His rebellion is directed against rulers who use force to enrich themselves while hiding behind legal authority.

Socialism is built on the idea that wealth should be redistributed by political power. Robin Hood’s struggle is almost the opposite. He is resisting political power because it has become predatory.

The forests of Sherwood function almost like a voluntary society outside state control. Robin’s band is not a government. People join voluntarily. There is no taxation, no bureaucracy, and no central planning. Leadership depends on loyalty, reputation, and competence rather than legal privilege.

Of course, Robin Hood was not an anarcho-capitalist in the modern sense. The concept would not exist for another seven centuries. He was a medieval outlaw operating in a feudal society.

Yet if one insists on translating the legend into modern political categories, Robin Hood looks far closer to a libertarian rebel than to a communist revolutionary. He fought tax collectors, corrupt officials, and arbitrary rulers. He did not demand state ownership, economic planning, or the abolition of private property.

The real Robin Hood, at least in the traditional legend, was not robbing the rich because they were rich. He was robbing agents of political power because they were abusing power.
