To mark the International Women’s Day 2026, the Department of Land Resources organized a special workshop for its female employees on 11th March 2026. The event featured two distinguished resource persons—Dr. Beena Saraswathi, Assistant Professor at the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development, and Ms. Anjana Unnikrishnan, Deputy Director at DD News.

Through their insightful lectures, the speakers shared valuable perspectives on the present socio-economic landscape and the evolving role of women in professional spaces. A large number of women employees from the Department participated in the workshop and actively engaged in the interactive session, making the programme both informative and enriching. The workshop served as a meaningful platform to encourage dialogue, awareness, and empowerment among the participants.

@aryan_raj_tough @ANI There has been no discrimination based on caste, religion, colour, or class at the Sabarimala temple since olden times. The restriction is only for young women between 10 to 50. To my knowledge, no caste discrimination exists in Kerala temp. for worship, esp. in Devaswom temples.
