@Doc_Texas In order to be a traditional rival you have to be in each other's top 10. Houston and OK St are 9 and 10 for Texas but Texas is 12 for them. Arkansas, OU and A&M don't count since they are in conference.
@Doc_Texas From what I read you need 6 of your top 10 in conference. If not then you have to play 2 of your traditional rivals over a rolling 4 years and a top 5 opponent every year. For Texas top 5 are Baylor, TCU, and Rice. Texas traditional rivals are top 5 plus Tech and SMU.
@Doc_Texas I remember seeing Bama fans in the aid station in the upper deck at like 10 in the morning because of the heat. They don't know what they are walking into.
@broseph713@FFMartinHookEm@bordeauxyoutube It's complicated. CFP makes conferences more than OOC. So more team means more money so if OOC games can keep teams out where is the incentives but if the b10 gets what they want and the playoffs are 24 teams then OOC games are diluted and don't draw as may eyes so less money.
@NashTalksTexas Moved out of state and wasn't able to make it back for game this season. Miss my DKR family. We sat a row apart in Lubbock in 22 and just treated it like a home.
@broseph713@FFMartinHookEm@bordeauxyoutube That's the thing SEC only started requiring one ofc p4 game in 2026, ACC already has this rule. B12 and B10 don't. If the committee makes it clear that these games hurt you SEC/ACC will probably make a change and say you don't and this will lead to less ofc p4 games.
@broseph713@FFMartinHookEm@bordeauxyoutube We just schedule cal, Stanford, Boston college. Schedules wouldn’t be made until 2/3 years out and the bad p4 schools are looking at doing home and homes with Michigan/Ohio St/ Alabama/ Georgia etc.
@JoshPateCFB I might win the battle of no fall wedding but as Texas fan might lose a bigger battle as she likes the name Baker (she's not a CFB fan, working on it). How does fan of a school name a kid after a rival QB and be okay with it?
