Dear Vijay na,

I’ve never been a fan of yours. Enjoyed some of your movies and never to the extent of blind fandom. But when you ventured into politics, it started with one simple question over a dinner with my husband :

“Why politics for him? He has everything…he could settle anywhere in the world, live peacefully, and enjoy the love he's received from fans without the turmoil that politics brings. Politics is filled with hate, slander, enemies... so why still choose it?”…..

That very question led me to research about you.. research into everything you have done in the past…countless welfare activities led by VMI.

It then started casually, with watching just one political speech of yours, followed by watching just one campaign on a Saturday…. And today, here I am, following nothing but just about you.

Post Karur, something really changed in me. Your losses began to feel like my own, your struggles became mine, your challenges became mine, and even a simple grin from you brought the biggest smile on my face.

Politics has been an eye-opener. The ones I once admired both in cinema and politics have been the biggest source of disappointment. With every coordinated attack, every political ecosystem working against you, and the media circling like vultures, waiting for your downfall… despite all of this, you’ve taken it all in stride, with such ease. It’s a lesson I’ll carry with me for life.

So many changes have happened to me personally in this past year. My social media timeline is filled with just updates about you, and somehow, without intending to, I’ve found myself deeply immersed into your political arena.

I’m sure there are many others like me who feel the same way. Don’t worry, @TVKVijayHQ na, you’ll win big.. your victory is written in the stars. Your vision for Tamil Nadu will come true!
