This is Fedor Pererva, a resident of Oleshky.
Yesterday, he was killed by a russian landmine while gathering walnuts just to have something to eat.
Keep telling the world about russia’s genocide.
Keep talking about Oleshky.
NEW FOOTAGE FROM OLESHKY
Autumn 2026.
Local residents ride bicycles back from Radensk with food, risking their lives just to feed their families.
Up to 1,500 people remain in Oleshky, including around 40 children. Another 4,000 remain in surrounding villages, including roughly 150 children.
A humanitarian catastrophe. A genocide in miniature — unfolding under russian occupation.
The world has no right to stay silent.
Keep talking about Oleshky. Don’t let the world forget them.
"Russia’s turning abducted Ukrainian children into Russian soldiers."
Reporter @KathrynDiss traveled to Ukraine for ABC’s Foreign Correspondent to expose this devastating reality. After years of indoctrination and militarization, kidnapped kids are being forced to sign contracts and fight against their own country.
Save Ukraine helped the journalist embed with our rescue missions and speak with youth who have just escaped occupation.
Thank you, Kathryn Diss, for bringing the global mission to bring Ukraine’s kids home to a wider audience.

People in occupied Oleshky are pleading for help.
A city where a humanitarian disaster has been unfolding for more than six months.
What this local resident describes is horrifying.
More from Oleshky below. 👇
- Duizenden mensen zitten vast in Oleshky.
- Geen voedsel, water of medicijnen.
- Humanitaire hulp wordt tegengehouden door de Russische bezetter.
Je zou meer media-aandacht verwachten voor een Holodomor 2.0, niet?
Russia is literally STARVING CHILDREN TO DEATH in territory that they CURRENTLY OCCUPY.
Where is the outrage??? Speak up about Oleshky! Hold the occupiers responsible!
Corpses lie in the streets. Burials are blocked.
If someone is wounded, their chances of survival are almost zero. Enemy drones strike anyone who approaches the dead, making it impossible to recover their bodies.
Stray dogs feed on the corpses.

The occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region has been a literal hell on earth for more than six months.
The city is struggling to survive at the very limits of human endurance.
Here are the horrifying accounts of people whose relatives are still trapped there.

Why is it important to talk about OLESHKY ?
Because people there are starving, and russia is not allowing them to evacuate.
The international community needs to put prеssure on russia. And for that, we need to spread the word.
Please tag your leaders. Only together can we help.
Talk about Oleshky. Please don’t stay silent.
Please Google Oleshky. Please read about what is happening there. Please talk about Oleshky because people need to know.
There are Ukrainian civilians trapped there under ruzzian occupation and they are running out of food. Actually running out of food. There have reportedly been no proper food deliveries into the town since the end of May, people survived through summer mostly with whatever they could grow themselves, whatever they still had stored and whatever they could somehow find, but summer is ending and those gardens and supplies are running out too.
And they cannot simply leave. Roads are mined, drones make movement incredibly dangerous, bringing supplies in is incredibly difficult and evacuation attempts have not happened despite Ukraine being ready to evacuate people. There are still civilians there. There are still children there.
I don’t even know how to write this without sounding dramatic because the reality itself already sounds unbelievable. It is 2026 and we are talking about people in an occupied Ukrainian town potentially starving because food cannot get to them and they cannot safely get out.
Please don’t just take my word for it either. Google Oleshky yourself. Read what is coming out of there. Read several sources. Look at what Ukrainian officials and people connected to the area are saying.
And then please make noise about it.
The world has become so used to horrible things happening in Ukraine that sometimes I genuinely feel like we have to scream just to make people stop scrolling for five seconds, but these people cannot afford for everyone to scroll past them.
Google Oleshky.
Please.
Oleshky is critical, facing a humanitarian disaster.
I spent a great deal of time there, and its people are now trapped under Russian occupation with almost no safe way out.
Ukraine and the ICRC are ready to evacuate civilians but Russia refuses to again to provide the necessary security guarantees.
The world must pay attention‼️
‼️ A humanitarian evacuation is urgently needed for Ukrainian civilians in the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky.
People are starving, have no access to medical care, and are unable to leave the city.
